Anyone I know from 2001 still around?

I came back to the game a month ago after a ten year break. I'm the original player of Bigmond (1996-2001 or so), as well as Daedrek, Gondar, and Tanistor. I sold out in early 01 so if you knew Bigmond after that, it wasn't me. I wonder what happened to all of my characters...

I have only seen a few familiar faces around the Landing area. The game has shrunk a lot, but it's still got some charm left, for me. I'm just wondering if anyone I hung out with, hunted with, or otherwise interacted with often is still out there.

Yep yep. I haven't seen him since I've been back, and gave up on trying to track down who owns him now. I think it would be disappointing to get him back anyway... now that he's been all whored out... shit my flight is leaving!

Yeah even if I found Bigmond it would be weird as shit to play him again. And who knows what's been done to his training by now. When I sold and he was 114 or so, he had like 80 ranks of hiding (mechanically useless but fun) and was fully doubled in spell-aim. Everyone laughed at me until Focused Implosion came out. I was king for a day with that shit. There wasn't a creature in the game I couldn't one-shot kill 100% of the time with it.

Briars makes appearances every few years. Last I saw him was in 2006 or so, but I don't doubt he's been around since. He was still an amusing dick the last time I saw him.

fyi, around 2000-2003 (I think?) Jason / Bisco sold to Eric / Bisco, who was a cooler person anyway. New/cooler Bisco posts on the PC.

I definitely remember big SP. I think it was one day hunting pyros on Teras and seeing Soul swinging over 500 or so self sustained that motivated me to roll up a bard. Granted he only made like level 11 because I sort of had character ADD and would roll up a newbie a month.

The treehouse was a great time. Even though the game was way overcrowded and filled with muppets in the late 90s, it was always awesome to get into the tree after a hunt and have tons of people to hang out with.

Anyone remember Desler? Mythrandyr(sp)? Those were two of the first people I met up there. Desler's the only dude that rerolled more than Bigmond...

I don't know if she wants me giving her story here, but, what the heck.

She was like engaged to Jason (original Bisco) they lived together. She got into some IG crap with other officers of House Sovyn, and just got flamed out on Cladia. Meanwhile Jason wanted a wizard.

So I traded my wizard to them for Cladia, this was like 1999. I had just started the rift and empaths were needed. So I owned Cladia for quite a few years, maybe until 2005 or 06. Then, after a hiatus, Kristen came back (her real name) and was playing her character also named Kristen, who is a sorcerer. And she decided she wanted Cladia back.

So, she bought Starkly from someone and traded me Starkly for Cladia.

(then a couple years later I traded starkly for dreknar, preferring a dwarf, but that is another show).

Long story short. If you see Cladia playing now, though she doesn't play often, that is Kristen again, the original. She also plays Kristen and I think someone named Pixy. She is on AIM often, though I don't always see her in game.
