That is what he did. One spoon was cayenne one was cinnamon but she didn't know that til after.

As for eating cinnamon being hard...the people in these videos (there are tons more) apparently don't know the difference between cinnamon and cinnamon sugar. Cinnamon tastes fucking beyond terrible without being mixed with sugar.

A lot of cinnamon is hot. Cinnamon mixed with sugar, in the right portions, as Methais pointed out, is much better and more mild.

Nikki is correct the dryness is primarily what prevents you from swallowing a teaspoon of ground cinnamon though. Same principle as finely ground ginger. But you'll have a mouth full of fire on top of it if I gave you a teaspoon of my fresh-ground cinnamon. Just sayin'.
