I've only known of you from these boards, and only in the last month has your name come up in the game around me because you were driving one of my friends nuts with how you were acting with them.

I'm sorry if that came out badly, it's just that it's a pet peeve of mine that people claim that everyone knows who they are when in essence it's not true. Roleplay all you want that your character feels that he is well known, but saying it here just made me want to crawl out of my skin.

As for the log, I thought that was handled very well. I applaud you for maintaining your cool and trying to educate the stubborn in this game. I wouldn't have gone as far, since everything said was warmly. I would have asked a wizard to show him what warm really was. :D

Yeah, good overall restraint in handling that situation. My only small point woukd be that perhaps instead of even saying the first comment about "Lag"? out loud, just whisper it. Bringing it to others attention can serve to put people on the defensive and then not be open to any further reason.

I agree with Sintik if someones OOC calling attention to it OUTLOUD just adds to the stupidity. If someone slips up, and we all do, everyone going 'HEY WHATS LAG!" is just as bad. You know theres not an IC justification you just want to be an ass, atleast thats my generalized observation. A whisper of hey do you mind watching your OOC speech habits is, in my opinion, the better route to go.

True, in my opinion. The way you over reacted was a bit lame. Then again I can't say I totally blame you if you've had previous encounters with the character Edine because his arrogance almost demands that you respond to him in that manner.

I feel the only real purpose behind comments like "what's lag" outloud is to embarass the other player (is this effective in getting them to stop OOC behavior? maybe? but..) . And then you attempt to further embarass that player by bringing something that trivial to the boards. And then you want an apology? To quote the now famous Jaymee "get off your high horse."

After reading this folder a little late, I can say this isn't an isolated event. During the Spitfire I was often locked in a room with the character Jaymee and just pissed at the blatant OOCness. I understand we all have our slips, it happens. But I've seen it myself a few seperate occasions.

Sad to say I could see her being labeled as OOC twit.
