My roommate's name is Gregg. Gregg is a guy. I'm moving out.

bwhahaha <3 collegehumor

And I gotta love my mom.

"I hope you are fine. Let me know if you need anything. I thought you would be back at the place with the heavy woman. She said to me weeks ago that she was just mad but sure you would be going back there someday.. But you probably are better off away from her. I will continue to pray for you to find a job! Love to you Mom"

Rofl why couldn't she just said her name or that girls house in downtown... noooo it's the HEAVY WOMAN! Also I don't think praying is going to help anyone find a fucking job but who knows.

Maybe she's praying that you'll stop wasting time on College Humor and instead start looking (http://careerplanning.about.com/od/jobsearch/Resumes_Interviews_Networking_Letters_etc.htm) for a job.

Sean, where are you living right now?

Rob: Clearwater, FL.

PB: HSN getting shitty. They're struggling to keep their head above the water. Merged all agents into super customer service/sales agents after over hiring for the holidays.

I was lucky to get 8 hours a week on the schedule :(.

I'm currently doing sub contracting work. The guy I put a fence in for called and wants me to build him a deck next week. Should be fun as he has one hell of a heavy and huge ass tub he wants integrated into it.

Did Sean2 ever post his resume on here like Deathravin for us to critique, mock and help?

A quick glance at Clearwater, Tampa, St. Pete shows a pretty hefty assortment of jobs at all levels in the IT field. If you're really applying constantly, you probably need to fine tune your procedures. Maybe stop spilling beer and yogurt on the applications, too.

Tampa area is currently dealing with a 12.4% unemployment rate.. higher than the national average.

That isn't to say people should lament in their rooms and crying that there is nothing they can do about it, but because our economy is based around tourism, we're feeling this recession more than most.

Yeah it's rough around here. That percentage isn't even taking into account people like me that are not registered on the unemployment meter. For every open job there is most likely 18 people trying to get it.

I could post my resume but I dunno what good it would do.

I've applied to everywhere within about a 5 mile radius with no luck. Includes places like publix sears well shit everything even at the malls.

Hell I even applied at Boston Market and haven't heard shit back.

I'm not crying about it but perhaps I am bitching about it a little.

I'm heading over to here at 1pm today. http://www.pinellascounty.org/humanservices/career-development.html

Yeah, I was gonna say, a lot of areas in FL are experiencing above-average unemployment. I don't envy you, man. Sucks.

It might help to change your focus.

Not sure where Clearwater is. Considering your education background Sean I want to suggest volunteering (since you arent doing anything else anyways) two days a week with a conservation operation or fishery. There are tons of opportunities for someone with lab/biological experience in that state. 6 months of volunteerism might earn you a part time job in the same field.

Who knows. Might work.

Also: Dont wear flip flops to interviews.

Ok yeah.

Go work for QVC, those fucking bastards ship an absurd amount to the suburban housewife population. We call them QVC queens and well, they definitely help keep my company afloat.

QVC is doing better than HSN according to our internal emails and the fact that 1 out of 5 calls was some bitch trying to call QVC and not HSN.

I'm sure that works both ways however.

QVC is doing better because they have the edge on the electronics over HSN. HSN is trying desperately to close the gap and so far sucking ass at it.

Do you have any basic web programming skills, or are you willing to read some online tutorials to get some? Check out scriptlance.com. The money is shit at the beginning, because you have to underbid Indian contractors who basically charge $3 per hour. Once you've got a few jobs under your belt, though, you can make good money.
