I used to hunt there (as a sorceror) a few years ago with a wizard and empath friend. We were always the only one's there. Great loot, but if you aren't self-sufficient or have at least a healer, it'll probably be frustrating.

Some cheap deaths in the krynch area, too, so it helps to have someone to drag you to the NPC cleric.

If you are premium and have lich or psinet, you can just beg people for healing/picking up on FWI.

Go to the local locksmith and healer. It's more expensive but you make tons more there anyway. I spent a few months there. Lonely as hell but you can make alot of silver.
