So as some of you may know, I've been fine tuning the kinks out of my truffle business and am coming to a close on what needed to be changed/fine tuned.

Mostly now I need people to eat them and give me feedback to further fine tune if needed any recipes and such.


And with that being said... Anyone want to order some truffle goodness... valentines day is coming up...

I havent ordered custom boxes/paper/stickers/etc for putting them in, so i've ad-lib'd with what I could find for the moment.

Yes, my truffles are expensive. Yes, I use the best ingredients I can. Yes, they are fresh. They also weigh 25 grams, or about one ounce. Lindt truffles weigh 11 grams. Lindt truffles cost 50 cents, mine cost 1.25. Sadly, shipping isnt cheap. Probably ~4-5 bucks. Can post price tomorrow after I ship some.

No min/max. I make them to order.. you order 5, I make 5, you order 50, I make 50. I dont make 500 and let them sit until someone orders them like other companies.

I am working on packaging still. I can find boxes for any amount that you order. Obvious if you order 500, it'll be several boxes.

You can mix and match as many types as you want, it's your order, have it your way.. oh wait, I cant use that slogan...

No website yet, have been working with someone on graphics and such to get it in order before I went further. It's almost there.

Hell man, I've been making truffles on the side with my brother for a few years now. We started out locally down here with David Yurman jewelery, and then picked up a few other places nearby. I'm with you on the yes, they're expensive. They do weigh a bunch, etc etc. I haven't had any issues shipping mine around the country with USPS. But my brother handles that part of it. I'll let you know if I find anything out.

my AIM is being wonky so I'll put it here where you see it!

You can bulk buy frozen packs (sort of like what they used to put on a swollen ankle back in school) for pretty cheap and as long as the package will arrive within a couple days, they'll keep it from getting melty. When I ship out stuff in the summer I include a pack with the order and I'm yet to encounter any problems with melting. Obviously you've still got a few months before dealing with summer, but it's just something to keep in mind. People are surprisingly diligent about not letting boxes of confections sit on their doorstep in the blazing sun!

In MMA, (WEC specifically) the Bantamweight division is 135 lbs. Friend and previous trainer (former champ) Miguel Torres is in fact, 135 lbs.

My metabolism is such that I cannot gain weight and I promise, I can out-eat you and/or most of you fatty fat fat's here. It's not something I am proud of or enjoy however. In jiu-jitsu and MMA it works for me though since I commonly don't have to fight outside my weight class though I do have to train with people larger than me. So shutup, NocturnalRob the skinny man hater. You go drink a Slim-Fast, I'll eat a burger (again) and you STFU.

Haha well he's from the same region (now he has his own gym too) as me and well, we don't have many other good fighters coming out of Indiana lately. Bowles was about 3 seconds from being finished, Miguel clearly got reckless when he went in for the kill and underestimated his power on the counter. Which was insanely impressive for Bowles I'll say.

I meant that being 140/135 works for me. My height is what creates an advantage for the division, way, way easier for me to triangle a guy who is 5'7" with less a chance of escape. The downside is my center of gravity against guys with good takedowns and obviously, not as much compact power.

My small boxes that hold two fit nicely in the flat rate boxes at the post office.. I think I can squeeze six into a box for 4.95.

My large boxes that hold 10 dont really fit nicely into any box at USPS. I put two in the next size up flat rate box, and stuffed the hell out of it with padding.. and I could hear stuff moving when she tossed it about 2 feet into the bin. 7.50 for the next size up, for more than truffles.

You should be able to do some kind of adjustment to the invoices for fees. I know most A/R software, especially software dealing with CC payments since they get dinged out the ass for fees, have some sort of functionality for this.

I actually just got them today. They might have been here yesterday, or even Saturday, because I just realized today I hadn't checked my mail since Friday.

So far, only damage in one box (out of the five), and they're delicious. Don't know why the particular box was injured, it was the Baileys ones, maybe they're softer, I dunno. Same issues with the chocolate dust spreading outside the boxes to the inside of the package, but I don't really care about that. Haven't eaten rich things in awhile, but I got back on that wagon pretty quick.

Good, I bought the little cups to put them in for the future so they do not get as damaged, I hope.

Down side, I cant fit as many in a box...

I'll find a solution.. gotta order different boxes anyway, those are f'n expensive because I am not buying bulk yet.

No website yet, flavors are listed on the first page, but to make it easy, I'll repost them:

Here's some explanation of flavors:

Coco Java - Chocolate with coffee, cinnamon and nutmeg infused

Hazelnut - Silky milk chocolate with hazelnuts and reinforced with delicious hazelnut liquor.

Amaretto - A Rich Dark Chocolate filling with amaretto and decorated with a sliced almond.

Port Wine - Our medium bodied chocolate with delicious Tawny Port. (Tastes like caramel strangely enough!)

Chocolate Decadence - my richest filling that is waiting to be indulged in.

Amarula - Our melt in your mouth Dark Chocolate with Amarula liqour.

Bailey's - Creamy milk chocolate with Bailey's Irish Cream

Caribbean's One Love (Rum) - No worry, no cry. Chocolate and Rum. Is it possible to get any better?

Cinnamon - Not only infused with cinnamon, but also rolled in cinnamon sugar.

Milk Chocolate - Silky and sexy milk chocolate filling that will melt in your mouth.

Pistachio - Elegantly scented pistachio milk chocolate truffle rolled in crushed pistachios.

Truffles are still 1.25, but going up to 1.50 soon, as soon as I have to pay taxes on it, the price goes up, until then, dont ask dont tell the gov.
