What hunting areas is it possible to lose your gear?
What mechanics can cause it to happen.

In Solhaven, Vesperti can curse (which will cause you to drop weapon if warded high enough), Shan can disarm and do a lot of other annoying things. Good place to lose a weapon. I think there is a thread about this already that I will not go look up because "search" works 1 in 10 times.

Most planes in the rift. Spectral miners.

vesperti - curse
Spectral Lords - Disarm
Ithzir Janisarry - Disarm
Festering Taint - itchy curse
Vvrael warlock (and witch)? - itchy curse
n'ecare - disarm
csetairi - itchy curse
vespilon - itchy curse
Spectral miner - disarm
Shan Warrior - disarm
stone gargoyle - shatter (only to non enchanted weapons)
minotaur warrior - disarm
triton combatant - disarm
triton defender - disarm
triton radical? - disarm

I want to say that basilisks or another creature will knock the weapon out of your hand if you swing at them. I could be wrong though.

That's a good list.

Also, I believe hisskra (at least) will knock your weapons out of your hands if you swing at them. I think they are shaped like The Plutonians.

Some of the creatures up on the icemule side of nightmare gorge can also shake your arm in their teeth and get you to drop what you've got.

If I had to say what were the two most likely places you could go and lose something, I'd go with Ithzir and Shan.

minotaur warriors are damn good at disarming, for the record

Magru I believe can destroy certain types of weapons, non blunts?

Waerns do a bite manuever that can make you drop your weapon too I think. Been a while since I hunted them.

Both Skeletar Lords in varunar, and Spectral Lords in Wraithenmist disarm.

Not to forget getting looted when you are killed in OTF.

Do the bandits loot your corpse?

Not so, if your gear is picked up by someone else the GMS "might" tell you as much but they won't recover it for you. If it's janitored they'll consider a one-time-only replacement but it all depends on the GM and the mood they're in. (And only if it's been registered)

Another to add to list:

eidolons ~ itchy curse

Vvrael witches are wizard types and don't curse. Seraceris, on plane 1 with the witches, most certainly do itchy curse though. Also don't forget doomstone curses in the rift.

This is a good list, thank you.

Are there some creatures that can use the bard song that blows your weapon up if you fail the warding?

I thought that was myklians, but I can't be sure. Never swung anything at them.

It's been a while, but aren't seraceris bard types that use vibe chant, not curse? It can make you drop your weapon, but only once instead of multiple times.

They use both actually. Their main arsenal is sorcerer spells but they also have vibe chant. The vibe chant tends to mostly just cause RT and I've never been warded enough to drop the weapon.

Something in Solhaven can rip your arm off and cause you to drop whatever's in that arm. I forget what it is.

Ithzir will steal your weapon and shield from your corpse when you die, and they can also loot your inventory for things and take those too.

I haven't seen anyone mention phantasms in Varunar--they're the ones I most remember doing the itchy curse thing.

The last time I had this happen I was out there for a some storyline event and a gremlin grabbed a pin my characters fiancee had just gotten made for him. I did bad things to that gremlin.

Wolverines do a hand-bite maneuver too.
Are there some creatures that can use the bard song that blows your weapon up if you fail the warding?Sea nymphs, but I think it's impossible to get your TD low enough where they would actually detonate.

Hey I was told theft was concent for Penis vs Penis. That's what PvP stands for right? If it didn't it does now. Keep in mind if you want to engage in this activity with Rob the correct format would be PvP given his limited assets.

If you're really terrible I seem to remember kiramon can maneuver a weapon away from you now.

Yeah, I think the workers have the same type of maneuver as the waerns, where they grab your hand/wrist and shake it, and it'll give you a hand wound and may force you to drop what was in that hand. But kiramon are just evil anyway, until you kill them and steal their gems that they probably used Aelotoi slave labor to obtain :p
