Depends really on the class.

Bards and Wizards are the most sought after and should easily get more then that.

Paladin's, Sorcs, and Rogues are the least popular it seems.

Mostly it is for the utility that the characters can offer in a MA type setting.

I'm thinking of leveling a bard just to sing since there's so many enhancives and stuff now.

I'm profoundly lazy and think 1-30 in this game is mind numbingly dull, and I've made that ascent enough times. I like the class and the merchant is upstanding so it's win win. Bards are exceedingly rare it seems, too.
