Don't really have any job-specific information, but we just laid off 4 people here a week or two ago and most of them have jobs already, so the outlook for you should be good. One guy is working for Google doing their LAN-ops locally (evidently they have a building around here). Wish we were hiring, Soul, you sound intelligent, which would be a nice change of pace here.
