View Full Version : Cell Phone Rings
I am so sick of hearing lame cell phone rings. This guy that sits next to me at work has Beethoven on his phone. And he sits and giggles to himself every damn time it rings!
ITS A PHONE, MAN. A PHONE. IT SHOULD JUST RING.
The least you could do is use some weird midi type music that makes sense. Like old Nintendo games or something.
Beethoven on a phone: thumbs down
Mario Brothers on a phone: thumbs up

When I get a regular call, I hear "Genie in a Bottle". When my sweetie calls me, I hear "I Touch Myself." :D

I hate, despise, abhor and loathe cell phones. The good thing about a regular old telephone is that you can connect it to an answering machine and ignore the hell out of it, and people can't say: "Oh, you're going out? Well, nevermind. I'll call you on your cell phone when I have a stupid question!" :bouncing:

My cell is on vibrate almost all the time because I forget to turn the ringer off while I'm at work in meetings.
If I have the ringer on it plays the theme to MacGyver
Yes, I am sick.

I haven't used my phone since I came back to school because Cingular is retarded and charging me roaming in C-Ville for some reason. $0.79 a minute. Ouch.

I agree with HN. I like being able to completely disappear for awhile without anyone being able to contact me.
That being said, I have a cell phone, but it's a work cell phone, and they gave it to me, and I have to hand it back in on my last day next Friday. I hate the damn thing, mainly because it's always work calling. It plays the Moonlight Sonata. I don't know how to change it, either, the woman who had it before me set it. It still says her name on the frickin' voicemail too.

My cell phone ring is from Rocky, when he's running up the art museum steps, heh. Either that or just the standard ring, I don't particularly like ring tones either.

My cell is either on vibrate or it says, "You have an incoming call." I find it soothing and not too pressing and I seem to be the only dork that kept that ring messaging so I don't reach for my phone when someone else's rings.

My phone has alot of ringers. The theme from the A-team is one, Jaws is another, and my favorite one I have reserved for when the wife calls. It's the theme song from the movie Halloween. Short story on that one. She decided she would be funny, I guess it's funny to her, and call me while we were both in the car. She dials my number and all of the sudded the car is filled with Halloween. She wasn't laughing but damnit I was I had no bearing I was laughing my ass all the way to the couch.

Oh geeze, I'm so with you oh this. I got rid of mine a few years ago, when it seemed I couldn't go to the bathroom without someone looking for me. I love not talking to people 24/7. Call waiting is another thing I can't stand.

Heaven forbid the thing ring and you just hit the silence button and don't answer it. I see who's calling me. If they don't rate my time at that juncture then I ingnore it.
