I would definitely like to see this put to use by my archer, just not sure how solid 619 will be against mobs 10lvl over me.

How well does it work for those who have no knowledge of the Ranger spell circle?

Well, my main is a rogue, and it worked pretty much without fail for me at like level and up to about 8 levels over. There wouldn't be any reason for a ranger to have this, obviously, the target group for this item would be archer rogues in my opinion, especially ones with a bit of spare mana. Costs 19 to cast it.

The visual this bow pulls up in my mind is pretty comical.

You see a kobold, a kobold, a kobold and a kobold.

An arrow zips out of the shadows.
A kobold is struck in the eye, it falls down dead.

A kobold yells, "Holy crap! Bob just got sniped!"

[mass calm cast]

A kobold calmly says, "Don't worry, I am sure it was an accident."

An arrow zips out of the shadows.
A kobold is struck in the chest, it falls down.

A kobold yells, "WTF! SOMEONE JUST SHOT ME! FRITZ...HALP!"

An arrow zips out of the shadows.
A kobold is struck in the eye, it falls down dead.

A kobold yells, "HOLY SHIT...THEY KILLED FRITZ!"

A kobold calmly says, "No, Fritz is not dead. He is just sleeping. Hey, look at the pretty flowers he is laying on."

An arrow zips out of the shadows.
A kobold is struck in the eye, it falls down dead.

A kobold yells, "Larry! Don't just stand there, do something!"

Wait, doesn't it pull you out of hiding?

Durfin's post is actually not too far off from how it actually works... here's a clip of me doing a bandit task with the bow. It's actually pretty fun, I'm kind of reconsidering selling it now, heh... we'll see. Also, yes, it does pull you from hiding just as if you've cast the spell- I wasn't hiding at this point, when everything's unable to attack you, what's the point?

Lemme just tell you how much 619 is a benefit with swarms.......instant calm...for most critters. Seriously, I'm biased because I'm a ranger, but really, if you need something in a pinch, worth the investment.
