I always see people with huge finds like that.

How come the biggest one i ever got was like 60 or 70 pounds.!!

The biggest box any of my characters ever found was one with 50K worth of coins in it. My halfling wizard was unable to pick it up... so he popped it on the ground.

The biggest one I ever picked up was something like 80 lbs and it only had 10K in coins in it.

50K worth of coins HAD to be like 400 pounds.

Oh poo! :( I don't want 50k I want über powerful armor.. or shield.. or something nice.

<<50K worth of coins HAD to be like 400 pounds.>>

312.5 pounds.

Parkbandit
03-16-2004, 05:40 PM
It was a lead box though Bob. Real big and real thick walls.

So there. 400 pounds easily :P

Bobmuhthol
03-16-2004, 05:41 PM
Regardless of how much the box weighed, the coins weighed 312.5 pounds, and if you found an eighty pound box with 10k in it then the box had to have weighed 14 pounds.

Those boxes invariably never have anything more than coins in them. It's all a frickin' tease.

-TheE-

I found a 187 pound box once, my hunting partner found a 20 pound box. Mine had something like 20k in it, his had a 10x shield. Boo.

Bobmuhthol

A 187 pound box probably had ~28k, give or take a few hundred.

My hafling found some heavy back sheaths.. weighed something like 10 pounds.

Not counting mage rechargables, the best thing Falgrin has ever found was a ruby amulet. :(

A 300+ box is fucking nuts. I've found quite a few ~140, but there's nothing extraordinary in any of em.

I found one that was around 168 or so in the spider temple back when Michiko was 15 trains or so. Axhinde had to carry it for her so she could finish her hunt without massive RT.

Yah, was mostly coins, we had to gate out and drag it through the gate and get someone to bash it. Was mostly coins and a few pissy gems that youd find on a kobold.

Best thing Ive ever heard of found in a box, (best not meaning worth most) my x-husband in the game found an altered pouch with a note inside that said something like "Meet me under the bridge at midnight my darling." I thought that was pretty nifty. Bored GM or he was fucking a fire sprite behind my back, hard to say.

I thought if someone dropped an item and forgot to pick it up so that the janitor got it (I did this with a satchel containing an eonake weapon once) that the item would appear in a random box somewhere. So nothing is really lost in the game unless this is just wishful thinking on the part of the person that told me this...

No, items are deleted from the game, they're not placed in boxes.

I've been hunting ghoul masters with my lil one for the past few days and I've found three pocketed clothing items. Two were cloaks and the third was a shoulder worn purse. None of them had any kind of show, nor were any of them overly attractive. I also found a pillowcase on a critter that is belt worn and can hold a bunch of items.

Best item I've ever found was in a zombie box, a green silk dress with a beautiful show description. That was about 7 years ago.

The best thing that I've ever found was one of those old stogies that Stump used to smoke. That was before Icemule or Pinefar were discovered though, so it was semi-rare.

Who the heck found a 10x shield in a box?

Best thing I ever found in a box was a cigar case. It wasn't my box but was given to my rogue as a tip for picking. Bet he regretted it later though. ;)

I've found a few boxes that weighed a bit over 100 pounds, and one that i couldn't pick up, it had around 33k coins and one of those heavy quartz orbs in it, as far as box found items ive only found a few nice pieces of jewlery, one mage rechargable wand (309 rub) but mostly your typical box loot.

My latest find

a veil iron and emerald circle pin
>look pin
A sinuous drake made of pure veil iron curls nose-to-tail in a perfect circle. Tiny flecks of bright red eahnor shine in the drake's eye sockets. A faceted dragonfire emerald glimmers at the center of the pin, wrapped and secured by the curving spine of the drake.

Had 8 charges of mana focus in it.

My heaviest boxes have been over 100 pounds, but I don't think I've ever gotten one over 130. And yeah they were just a crap load of coins.

My best box found was a mermaid staff with a beautiful show and it sang.

No, you may not, I have three outfits that go with that staff :D

And that staff was found in a Level 2-5 hunting area, so don't think that you have to go to the rift or anything to find cool shit.
