Why not just pay a bard to sing to them and double their value?

Why not just pay a bard to sing to them and double their value?

Not every bard that sings to the gems can double their value, but why "pay a bard to sing to them" when you can just sell them to the bard, and let the bard sing to them at their leisure? The amount you get will be about the same anyway after paying the bard, respectfully.

You're crazy if you think the amount you'd pay the bard would equal the increase in value of 400+ gems. I took 250 gems up 250k and that wasn't even singing to all of them since I never touch gems less than 3k anyways.

And you don't need any manipulation lore to bring gems up to exceptional quality. Just beyond without shattering.

*edit: I'll accept the lazy excuse.

accept what you wish, I'm not saying the amount is equal to or lesser the bard. However, you need to keep in mind it depends on the gems. If all or most of the gems that you appraise at are what they go for and MOST of them are already orbed (not a likely chance of that very often, but it has been known to happen) then the value of the gems won't increase that much

I tend to sell mine to bards (or whomever wants them), and let them deal with squeezing out any profit they can.
