Had this happen in the Temple more than once...

An emaciated hierophant gestures and murmurs a quiet prayer.

An emaciated hierophant fans her fingers wide and gestures at you!

You hear strange noises come from behind and to either side of you.

You remove a single faewood arrow from a bundle of faewood arrows.
You nock a faewood arrow fletched with blue griffin feathers in your hunting bow.
You fire a faewood arrow at an emaciated hierophant!
AS: +412 vs DS: +205 with AvD: +24 + d100 roll: +62 = +293
... and hit for 88 points of damage!
Incredible shot to the eye penetrates deep into skull!
An emaciated hierophant moans in agony and then goes still.
The very powerful look leaves an emaciated hierophant.
The white light leaves an emaciated hierophant.
The deep blue glow leaves an emaciated hierophant.
An emaciated hierophant seems to lose an aura of confidence.
An emaciated hierophant seems to lose some dexterity.
An emaciated hierophant appears less powerful.
The dull golden nimbus fades from around an emaciated hierophant.
The air about an emaciated hierophant stops shimmering.
The faewood arrow sticks in an emaciated hierophant's left eye!

A hunch-backed dogmatist nods his head toward you!
You no longer hear the strange noises around you.
You are coated in a hazy film.

You remove a single faewood arrow from a bundle of faewood arrows...

Any other critters known to give you an unintended assist from time to time?

Any critters that dispell will do this.

If you've got Song of Depression from a siren and one successfully hits you with Unraveling, Depression is usually what goes.

Any spell that's cast on you- even detrimental ones- are open to dispell.

Whenever I would cast phase, curse, or saturation I would always dispel it first. Annoying.

Will arcane decoy automatically go first as opposed to a detrimental spell you don't want? I'm guessing yes.

Hmm, probably- that's what the spell is designed to do.

I did a little experimenting and it also seems to me that the most recently cast spell is what get stripped from you by the Dogmatists. (This was for a series of 4 casts of 103 during one hunt.)

I don't recall this being the case with hooded figures or in spell loss areas like Darkstone which seemed to be a bit more random. Anyone else notice this?
