Artie Lange - Attempted Suicide

MYFOXNY.COM - The news isn't funny for Howard Stern sidekick Artie Lange.
The comedian reportedly tried to commit suicide over the weekend.

Sources tell the Post's Page 6 that Artie Lange's mother found him at his apartment Saturday morning.

The comic reportedly stabbed himself nine times suffering three deep wounds. Surgeons managed to save Lange despite heavy bleeding.
Lange has had a past history of drug addiction and canceled several recent comedy appearances.

He has not appeared on the Howard Stern Sirius show for weeks.
"I'm sorry. I just feel sick about this, I don't know what to do,"Howard Stern said on his show.

Stern talked about Lange and his situation for about 15 minutes Thursday morning.

I loved when McGriddles came out... Artie would talk about them constantly on Stern.

I've always liked him more than Jackie; he's one of the main reasons I ever tune into the Stern show.

His book was also pretty entertaining.

It is sad, but if he dies, no one is going to say "MAN! We never expected this!"

Something about stabbing yourself instead of cutting yourself is rather hardcore IMO. Also the fact that it's not just hesitation wounds says it's not emo.
