These results are a little obvious but I was surprised how little the shield size helped the Cleric.

Did you take a look at bolt DS? I think it really skews it towards towers over dodge training for pures, especially if you consider you will be outright blocking more shots with a tower too.

What enchant shield is that with? I thought the size formula took enchant into account, so a 10x tower had a higher DS compare with a 10x small shield than a 4x tower compared to a 4x small shield.

6x buckler, 6x medium shield, and 7x tower (I subtracted 5 DS from the towers results)

You were right Fallen tower shields are much more effective against bolts.

Shield enchant has no impact on the formula.

Updated the OP with races. Tower shield was better for my dwarf cleric but my elf with perfect stats a medium shield is better since his 40 AGI bonus counts as dodge.

I know it's not easy to get a character with the right training, but seeing what dodge and shield use combined can do to the numbers would be even more interesting.

Small + Dodging vs. Tower + Dodging could be an interesting comparison.
