How gay would it be if a guy put one on?

(annoying IMO) idle scripts, wear/remove scripts, and the original ones had interesting Faendryl loresongs (or was it Nalfein?). Something having to do with the assassinations which set off the war. I think the newer ones had different loresongs, and had tighter alter restrictions as well. They've always been overpriced, but so are those new wings that came out. New auction fluff usually ='s overpriced.

I really don't understand the staggering prices on some of this fluff. Is there really such a huge demand for such items and low supply?

People can buy silvers, so there will always be interested buyers for items with basically as much silvers as their concious will allow to throw at it. Start limiting supply, add in everyone (especially females) attempting to be unique little flowers, and you have insanely overpriced fluff.

You gotta also factor in that getting a new toy to play with, even if it is fluff, is often the ONLY form of tangible GM development players will get their hands on. If you've been playing for 10 years, getting your hands on those wings might make GS fun again..for a month or two. That's why I went to CCF and Ebon Gate. I was hoping to get a new sorcerer toy. Getting my hands on that Animate Dead wand kept me interested IG for an extra six months. I guess a shiny new forehead gem does that for fluff-driven females.

I helped a friend of mine buy one and we shared it between us (we got ours for a steal I think 20 or 30 mil), I paid half she paid the other and we shared it. I used it a few times, but it just wasn't all that ooh ahh for me.

I don't think I'd ever buy one on my own in prime. Same with the wings, if you can't fly...what's the point? Unless it's valid to your roleplay then I guess it's awesome. But I can't think of any of my characters finding validation in items like these.

We all play GS for different reasons and the great thing is, the game allows you to just that. Some want to power hunt for the thrill of seeing the numbers; some want to be the first to master something/everything; some work on their armor and weapons to be more uber than the next guy; some love designing pretty gowns and some collect character defining fluff. Each to their own and so long as it makes people happy and keeps them playing then great!

The one I got at EG pretty much suited my RP perfectly (and most folks that know Laph's history agreed that it was spot on), but I certainly wouldn't find myself paying 40m+ for one, nor would it be a deal-breaker on whether or not I'd continue playing. Then again, I'm also not the sort to spend 40m+ on some special doodad that would make my theoretically impossible-to-kill character more impossibler-to-kill or turns my exceptionally crit-weighted kill-stick into a masturbatefully crit-weighted kill-stick.

I ended up with the white starstone at EG, Huntress RP, bingo-bango. And for 5000 silvers, at that.
