Was it a cheap looking movie with shitty Special Effects? I can't watch low budget films when spfx are involved.

Edited: I just saw the trailer and decided this was not for me.

You guys are the worst! :( . I guess I am just younger than you folks and the standards of special effects are higher since that's what I grew up with.

If a movie is about magic I like good SPFX; it makes watching so much more intense. If it is not that kind of movie, then the Plot/Actors have to be strong since that's what I'm focusing on.

I'm definitely not superficial but I guess on this forum I'm considered that from what I do post.

One question: What do you think of Army of Darkness?

Hah, I watched this on netflix on Saturday. I thought it was really funny. Anything with Dorkness Rising in the title has to be good.

I haven't seen it but the trailer looks really funny. Something I think I would enjoy.

1) Special Effects/=Visual Effects
2) Imagination is the most important ingredient in the creation (and appreciation) of art- not realism

I dont think it has anything to do with when you grew up...

It's a movie about a D&D group.. how great do you think the plot/actors are going to be? It's a comedy, not a drama.

Just watch the fucking movie ya dweeb.

quack foo
it's Quack Fu, although I suppose that's an understandable mistake for you. Especially given the title of your favorite movie.

I started watching it with the same attitude but you get past that pretty fast. It's intended to be campy and lighthearted so I think high quality special effects would have detracted from the movie. It's funny, you should give it a try.

My favorite part was when the party was under attack in the tavern and the bard runs in and starts playing his mandolin and someone shouts "for god's sake HELP us man!" and he's all like "lalalala I AM helping lalalalala!".

Oh and the pizza ninjas vs. pirates fight. "Because everything is better with pirates."
