Hello Folks... I've come back after years away and wanted to go a certain direction with my little eye popper rogue. I would love advice on how to take em towards some fun ewaving, hiding then ambushing eyes. Is this still do-able and Am I going in the right direction?

Without knowing too much, I see one pretty big problem with your stats. You have like no mental stats which will mean less mental TPs. Just my two cents.

I wouldn't recommend trying to get more than one spell every three levels, which would mean getting e-wave at level 30. Your build looks okay, except I would drop the Survival, First Aid, and Swimming completely and reduce Shield to 1x.

Honestly? Magic rogue build is absolutely not worth it for at least the first forty or fifty levels, with skill reallocation a reality now.

And yeah, your stats are not good. If I were you I'd reroll and reduce STR, DEX, and AGI by at least 15-20 each and put them into LOG, WIS, and INT.

At the risk of being nice and saving others the time to tell ya this stuff.

1) unless it's a fresh character, reroll. Before you do that, check the boards in the rogue section. The majority of that advice is already spelled out about a dozen times.
2) when you reroll, take the max physical skills and then just claid things for the first 20 levels. When you near the end of your free fixskill/fixstat period change it around to use the weapons and strategy you want.
3) I believe the weave build becomes viable around 30 or so, you can be there in a month and a half if you have the time/find good scripts. Not that I advocate scripting (lol).

You took a good step by checking here first but asking the same question others have asked and answered over and over is a quick way to get facepalms all over. Take a little time and do your due diligence in the rogue folder.

Good luck, if you need anything IG send me a PM.

Agreed with Stretch and he knows waaay more than I do about rogues as well. My rogue was magical in GSIII but that was the only option.

I promptly fixskilled to power hunting after the GSIV transition and then re-did him a year later to magical after gaining all the easy levels. I'm not going to lie it was really f'n hard to try and build a magical rogue in GSIII.

GSIV you have the luxury to change and my advice would be to do it. Unless it's for RP purposes and not mechanical and you don't mind a rough road.

I agree with everything you said except for the part I quoted. (minus trying a forum search first but that seems to bother others more than myself)

While some do the officials around here most of us despise those fuckers which is mostly the reason we ended up here in the first place.

My 2cents

You have a fixskills, but not a fix stats. You can reach level 9 in about a week. I'd really just suggest re-rolling.
