After giving the program a shot, I've thus desided iTunes sucks ass.
That is all.

I disagree. It's one of the better MP3 programs I've used in a long time.

I tried Napster for the first time the other day and the stuff I DLed was in .wma format. Very annoying cause I couldn't play it on Winamp. I was told iTunes does the same format as well...I guess that's not true?

I don't know what new-school (or crappy) Napster does.
Winamp rulz.

Napster was never good.
Ever.
So why would you use it now?
Also .wma = COMPLETE AND UTTER SHIT.

No, it is true. iTunes downloads files that are .m4p
Which cannot be used with ANY program but iTunes software.
Such is the reason it sucks.

I liked the old Napster when you could download MP3s. Not this .wma crappola.
Supposedly though, a newer version of Winamp is in the works. This version of Winamp will either allow you to play .wma's or let you turn them into mp3's.

You act like it's a herculean feat to do such a thing.
And Winamp 5.01 plays like.. everything, but I don't have any .wmas to test it on.

ITunes uses M4P format files, which are not directly compatible with Winamp. However, if you do a bit of searching, you can download a Winamp Plugin that allows them to be played on it.
For the record, the BEST way to share songs is on an FTP server. I have one set up, if someone else has one and is willing to give me mutual leech access, let me know.

I don't know whether it is or not, considering I don't have "too" much experience with all that crap.
And actually the current version of Winamp doesn't support .wma files. That info I got was off the Winamp site when I was trying to find something to make my wma files into mp3s.

2.91 plays wma's.
edit: haha winamp != wma
