If you have one and are interested in selling, please PM the one you have & the color it casts.

Thanks!

FYI, all of the gems except for the four raffled off at EG 2009 can be altered, including the color they cast.

The four unalterable ones are:
an oval-cut white starstone with night blue accents
a velvet black moonstone carved into a crescent
a polished twilight blue dreamstone traced with midnight inclusions
a heart-cut red sunstone with ebon markings

I did hear something about that, can they be altered by pretty much any alterer, or just the maker?

Only two GMs can alter the oldstyle ones (Xynwen, and I -think- Naionna). I don't know about newstyle other than Xynwen.

Best bet in that case, Use PP's to alter them.

Just in your message explain VERY carefully that it may need to be done by specific people, may take longer, but they normally do things with scrolls they wouldn't do otherwise.

Good idea, thanks!
Ok, so if anyone has any alterable forehead gems, send me a PM.. :)

No problem, I got some Vaalorn dyed green using scrolls, no merchant would touch it. One GM even said it had to be worked on by an elven dyer.. and none exist.

Used a scroll, and explained it, and they did it in a couple days. Even messaged me and said they tracked down a master elven Dyer.

Its actually not that badly overpriced if you consider the rarity.

the going rate for a any forehead gem is about 40M

the last one sold for 40M and it was a new style

I believe it had to do with the color though- black.

Do they do anything?

And why are we calling them forehead gems instead of bindi's?

Why do you care what it's called?

Because it's Elanthia?

40M is the going rate, regardless of color.

I actually paid 40M for mine as well - from the digging game at EG. Heck, all I knew was that it was a tangerine quartz. It's beautiful though... when you look at it on the person, it's:

An oval-cut tangerine quartz inset with an onyx rune is positioned between her eyes, which casts a sparkling sunset orange sheen across her face.

The only thing I'd change is that there is no show - I'd have a show added... besides that, it's very well done.

Actually from talking to Brimz, sounds like 40m is the going rate. I sent the GM's an e-mail asking about using PP to alter. If that's the case, I may just buy the yellow one.
Thanks for all the feedback.
