Based upon? Years ago I always thought this was the ambush weapon of choice but that seems to have changed now.

Falchions are actually one of my least favorite ohe's. I prefer handaxe for base 5 weapons. But Longswords are my favorite 4 second weapon by far, thier great in dual wield. I can do dual wield mstrike 3 critters in 6 seconds with longswords.

Nice longsword are also far more rare then nice falchions.
