Haha. I dont use instant messanger anymores. Too much commitment involved. I think I'm rebeling from being readily available to everybody at all times. I like Facebook. I can just hit it with my status and GO. Takes two seconds. Quickie ftw. Facebook is such a slut.

Yeah, I haven't used an IM since I became a family man. Email is where it's at. FB is tolerable for sharing kiddie photos with the grandparents.

I have 4 buddies, and I'm on 49 lists

On my FFXI screenname...
I have 8 buddies and on 16 lists

On my original Gemstone screenname...
I have 13 buddies and am on 23 lists

On my Plat screenname...
I have 22 buddies and am on 19 lists

Of all of that, I talk to 1 person on my personal, and 1 person on my plat account with any regularity. I only really keep the other ones up out of habit. And they're linked to my main so I don't really think about it.

Personally, I think it would behoove them to allow a single account with nicknames, but that's thinking too smart. I don't want my personal people to be IMing my business, or vise versa, or my Gemstone people and FFXI people... Just easier to turn off & on groups of friends based on how I know them I guess...

Sometimes, it acts like it goes offline for me. Make sure in your privacy settings you allow beacon whatever. I turned that off and my pidgin stopped working for FB.
