Amioweil gestures at a huge black stone beast.
Amioweil casts into the air above her head and a rip appears in the sky! The fissure begins to feed on the air around you!

.

(likely a focused implosion that was forced to open implosion with in-town game mechanics)

Happened in Town, killed at least 40.

She of course denies it...

I thought they changed it so you could use focused implosion during invasions?

She denies what?

Did it kill 40 people or not?

40 people's opinions > 1's opinion

I and others died from it

All it took was a "look" and you can see "black void"

Just had to scroll up and copy and paste what started the void, which was her.

Apparently she probably thinks herself innocent, as the jail/constable was turned off for the Invasion, so I don't think she got arrested for it.

That's why invasion in general sux.

40 people with 20 monsters = IMPOSSIBLE scrolling.

There should be a special windows for invasion's actions.. or something of the like

Here we go... I tracked down the Guild Captain.

>ask captain about amioweil

You inquire about Amioweil's current wanted level, and the Guild Captain answers, "Amioweil is wanted for 3 counts here in Solhaven, on charges of murder."

slightly entertaining, i know we were all told over the amulet and all not to implode during invasions, also no Cone or anything like that, some of the creatures can reflect the cone and other spells, so.....

Exactly why that fucking spell needs to be neutered.

Or maybe people in GS just need to:

1. Stop being so self serving. Oh, I can kill 40 monsters with 1 spell and get fried out of my gorde. Go me! Go me!

2. Educate themselves as to the fact that these spells can produce mass results in an invasion that are undesirable (goes hand in hand with #1 if they're already aware).

3. Stay the hell out of invasions.

I like #3 the best. Invasions are stupid IMO:

-Big ugly scary things come and invade towns. High levellers get together and bash scary things while pretending to like eachother. They get RP awards for their "comradarie." Young players tend to cower at tables or in other safe areas unless they happen to have the misfortune of dying while hunting...which is always fun and confusing for a newb.

I'd rather park my character's level 70 butt at a table with people I genuinely like than deal with that -- add to it now we have people using reflecting spells/mass spells. So why bother? with invasions really in my mind.

Well with the towers young ones can take part at least a small one, but then you have "evil" sorcs that send their eyes out and fear the n00bs to death, happened to my young mage twice. I reported them both as unprovoked and unwanted PvP, fortunately it only takes a few seconds so when nothing happenes I won't be upset.

On another note I saw some idiot sorc imploding in mants and thraks in the landing the other day, the same young mage almost died from it. So I saw to the guy "don't you think thats a bit much for two manticores?" He says "No, i need it."

There was a fella a few weeks back in Solhaven open imploding Shan and bonespear... Many of us asked him to stop and he refused..

Kithus was in town ( and while my characters hate him I the player think his player is neat and he character well played). He heard of the troubles and went out to talk with the irresponsible sorc..

He told me through IM's what happened and it went like this:

Kithus imformed the guy it was dangerous especially with critter that disarm and asked the guy to stop...

He refused stating... "I know the spell so I am going to use"

kithus replies "So do I so I should use it"

He cast it at the guy....

Idiot sorc dies...

no more imploding idiot sorc...

It was Drabbo, wasn't it Amaron?

EDIT: Heh. Log from a few months ago.

You [subdued]: "Drabbo, I thought I told you not to hunt with open voids. Don't let me catch up to you."
Chandani [subdued]: "Ooooh fight!"
Celeina [subdued]: "I nearly died thanks to that twit."
Drabbo [subdued]: "I love how I get accused of everything, I've been sitting at wayside for the last 15 minutes"
[note: he said this at 2:28. Celeina IM'd me at 2:21 saying Drabbo's back...I hope he doesn't open void again, so on a hunch I went over to the Glacier. She gets hit at 2:27 by an open void, and the only other person there is a warrior so he's FOS]
Drabbo [subdued]: "maybe you should think before you speak"
Celeina [subdued]: "Now that's a crock, considering I saw you here not too recently. One of your left-over voids got me."
Drabbo [subdued]: "yeah, you saw, and I've been at wayside since then, which was exactly 13 minutes ago"
You [subdued]: "And considering I was hidden during your little 'exchange' earlier, I'd stop the lying. You're just making yourself look stupid."
Drabbo [subdued]: "I'm just going to walk through the glacier and cast an open void everywhere I can so you little whiners will bite your tongues once and
for all"
Celeina [subdued]: "Can you just do everyone a favor and be careful with your voids?"
Celeina [subdued]: "or are you too bull-headed and obstinant to stop with this fiasco?"

5 minutes later after he's raised...

Drabbo [subdued]: "Edaarin, you will die"

subdue drabbo

In conclusion: people who hunt using unfocused 720 are dumb.

EDIT: Here's a clip of the log I dug up.

A large shadow looms out of the blizzard to the north, implying that a hill stands in that direction. It seems to funnel the wind, directing the icy blasts directly at you. You also see a black void, a handaxe, some cuirbouilli leather and a reinforced shield.
Also here: Sergey, Celeina
Obvious paths: east, west

[Glatoph, Glacier]
The path to the east is blocked by a huge spire of ice. Instead of lessening the wind here, it seems to pour it down onto you with arctic ferocity, howling and swirling.
Also here: Sergey, Celeina
Obvious paths: northeast, west
>Air begins to rush in violently.
Air slams into Sergey!
Strike to Sergey's shoulder.
His blue leather softens the blow.
+12 Hits.

Air slams into you!
Strike to your leg knocks you down!
+8 Hits.
Stunned for 2 rounds!

Air slams into Celeina!
Celeina is staggered by a strike to her side.
+10 Hits.
She is stunned!

And then... Later...

Lord Drabbo just came trudging in.

Before you stands a grand old manor, framed by huge willows to the east and west. The elegant trees sway gently, dappling the cobblestone courtyard with patterns of light and dark. A long porch stretches along the width of the great old house. You also see a wooden shield, the porch steps and a hollow tree stump.
Also here: a stunned Lord Drabbo, Jesae
Obvious paths: south
>'I suggest you leave.
You say, "I suggest you leave."
>Drabbo taps a rune-etched platinum torc.
A panicked look appears on his face and something appears to go wrong as a bolt of energy from a rune-etched platinum torc strikes him!
A gust of wind tugs at your sleeves. Suddenly, a fierce wind rips through the area, scattering everything in its path and making it difficult to remain standing.
Jesae is knocked over by the wind!
The wind then subsides.
He looks stunned!

A lot of rampant(stupid) killing went on during this invasion.

Good thing it ended, my level 18 ranger was about to kick ass and take names.

~~Urge to kill dropping~~
