So, how long could I pull this build off? Any advice (negative or positive) is welcome - specifically on stats and training plan.

Halfling Rogue

STR 82
CON 62
DEX S 80
AGL P 80
DIS 58
AUR M 86
LOG 67
INT 40
WIS M 65
INF 40

2x brawling, 1.75x TWC, 2x CM (until I get hamstring/mobility/evade mastery then drop to 1x), 1x ambush, 1x pf, 3x dodge, 2x disarm, pick, perception, S&H.

Once I drop down on CM I plan to pickup some MoC to at least 30 ranks.

If you're going with robes, plan on getting ewave eventually. It'd help your attacks, and would be really important for your defense. You won't be able to take a hit without being stunned, and rogues have no viable status breakers so you have to disable creatures before attacking, ideally.

Yah, e-wave is definitely in the game plan but I don't think I'll need it until much later... > 40. I doubt this character will even make it that far. Hamstring with TWC is extremely sick when going up against a single critter so I'm hoping to make good use of it.

Are there weapon restrictions on hamstring? I would expect slashing only (possibly puncture too).

Forget rogues. Be a warrior and get berserk and 3x PF for crazy redux.

Until you get hit..

Which is why you don't!

Which is why you don't!

What always seemed to kick my ass hardest is RT lock followed by some CS-based spell (dodge is totally ineffective at preventing both except in the case of some specific creature maneuvers, glacei ice-hurling comes to mind).

Even if you get your EBP percentage up to 75%, if you get caught in some modest RT lock (15 seconds) against 2 opponents, you're definitely going to get hit 1-2 times. Not to mention the fact that you're losing benefits from dodge more than anything else if you get stanced into offensive, knocked prone, or stunned.

Maybe early on that was less the case (straight swings doing all of the killing), but when does that change? Around level 30-40?

Which is about as far as I plan on taking this guy. In 15 years off and on my highest character to date is 33.

I have not died from normal hunting in... I do not know how long. I'm using 4x or 6x robes depending on my mood.

@m444w
Did you build him like that from the start or convert at a later train?

I tried a similar build but I was dying just too much for my liking at level 10.

Also, why 36 ranks of AU?

We grouped hunted the other day, he does very well with that build. He got hit less than I did while hunting troll kings.

I'd hope so. Do you have 3x dodge?

I added the ranged with a fixskills a level or two ago, he was that at the start... but I never acquired any bow that made me want to stick to keeping those points there. I also picked up ewave at like 40ish. 36 AU is for max hinderance reduction in brig, because I never wear armor heavier than brig.

I wore MBP for a week, I died more than week than I usually do in a year.
