Just wanted to say, "Happy Thanksgiving!" to all you folks that share this community.

Even if I can't stand you, argue with you and/or shake my head wondering how you have the intelligence to use a computer... I wish you and yours the best.

Happy Thanksgiving everyone!

Been up since 4am cooking, and up until way to late last night preparing things. We aren't even having a big gathering this year..I think I'm going to make the teenagers wake up and help. They need to learn how to cook, right?

May your stuffing be tasty
May your turkey plump,
May your potatoes and gravy
Have nary a lump.
May your yams be delicious
And your pies take the prize,
And may your Thanksgiving dinner
Stay off your thighs!

The pan underneath is a combination of 2 wheat beers, 1 quart of apple cider, 2 onions, 1 carrot and about 3 quarts of water. What you see in that picture is what it looks like after 8 hours of smoking.

Food is scarce for some people, maybe not for you or me. You take an acceptable risk every time you leave your house that someone won't mistake you for a bull moose and shoot you.

Our bodies can handle quite a bit more than we give it credit for. Unless you're a stupid creationist we've had MANY MANY years of eating raw and uncooked even rotten food.

Hell they taught us in survival training that you can eat rotten meat to survive. Of course they didn't say it would taste good. At any rate I think that turkey would be fine to eat given the circumstances.

Raw pork chops left our that long... fuck no. (ugh yuck)

Cooked turkey in a microwave FUCK YES!!!

You would eat your husband and that's NOT a guy thing.

Just saying.

Anyways if it was left out like on the stove I'd avoid it or give it to the dogs. They can handle eating that shit forever. But thoroughly cooked and in the microwave for that amount of time I would have made one hell of an open faced sammich providing there was some gravy left over.
