As you sing, you feel a faint resonating vibration from the leather boots in your hand, and you learn something about it...

From the pitch of the vibration you determine that the purpose of the boots is as some type of defensive garment.

As you sing, you feel a faint resonating vibration from the leather boots in your hand...

The way it vibrates in tune with your voice tells you that it serves some type of defensive purpose, different from that of normal armor.

IN OFFENSIVE check my ds

look at them, if they have an enchanters mark, then yah

INSPECT is the easiest way to tell.


Your careful inspection of a dark veil iron brooch allows you to conclude that it is miscellaneous armor that protects the wearer in general.

You may have edited that part out of your test log, but just in case- were you holding the boots in your hand when you did the tests while not wearing them?

Having them in your right hand would have lowered your natural parry defense (more in defense than offense, as seen).

why did I get the boost in ds?

nevermind I was holding them...its just a weird inspect and loresong imo


has 10/205 durability too....

There are some pieces of clothing out there that inspect that way. Old crap, mostly.

The boots, while held, are dropping all weapon DS to 0.

..and yeah, there's clothing out there that inspects/sings as defensive.

IE: armored boots might make a GM flip the flag that they're defensive
