A single line of golden radiance runs down the center of the emerald, giving it an appearance akin to a cat's-eye moonstone, although, in context, perhaps a serpent's-eye moonstone. Etched into the gleaming surface is the image of a stalking cat, its deep-set black diamond eyes gleam from the polished metal while a tiny undulation of silver forms the feline's hissing tounge. Near its center, the piece twists in a tight spiral before tapering out to form the curve of the cat's tail.
