Thanks to everyone who gave me some great advice. I am finishing up my migration period and have 2 stat adjustments allotments to make and I think im finally understanding the best way to set it up. Just wanted to get some input, because i think I messed up twice now in not utiliae the on-screen option to See what the scores will be with my progression calculated into them. So Let me just lay out the 2 different configurations ive played with as of late. Didnt realize they restricted you to only have 4 scores above 70, and only 1 above 90 other than your prime reqs (so 3 can be above 90):

THE FIRST SET - Here I wanted to experiment to see what attack and defense advantages I could get, and tried to see if I noticed any impact from shriking my WIS,INT and INF. I didnt notice much with either, actually. Cutting my constitution was noticeable as I didnt realize half-elves dont have any bonus in that.

**Stats in the stat adjustment screen**
100 Strength (STR)
70 Aura (AUR)
85 Constitution (CON)
70 Logic (LOG)
90 Dexterity (DEX)
30 Intuition (INT)
95 Agility (AGI)
30 Wisdom (WIS)
70 Discipline (DIS)
20 Influence (INF)

**real world after adjustment**
Statistic Bonus
Constitution (CON) : 95 ... 22
Dexterity (DEX) : 100 ... 30
Discipline (DIS) : 78 ... 9
Logic (LOG) : 74 ... 12
Intuition (INT) : 50 ... 0
Strength (STR) : 100 ... 25
Agility (AGL) : 100 ... 35
Influence (INF) : 47 ... 4
Wisdom (WIS) : 43 ... -3
Aura (AUR) : 77 ... 13

THE SECOND SET - I realized agility may not be as important as I thought in combat since it didnt impact my DS much. Upgraded my armor which helped and I realized that i have to accept that when I fight my DS will be low without spells. So I added more to dex to help with my ambushing and it also assists ds too i believe. It seems like I have big bonuses from character progression to my STR, DEX and CON. How low can I make these stats in the stat adjuster to add to others?

**Stats in the stat adjustment screen**
95 Strength (STR)
70 Aura (AUR)
95 Constitution (CON)
70 Logic (LOG)
95 Dexterity (DEX)
30 Intuition (INT)
70 Agility (AGI)
25 Wisdom (WIS)
90 Discipline (DIS)
20 Influence (INF)

**real world after adjustment**
Constitution (CON) : 100 ... 25
Dexterity (DEX) : 100 ... 30
Discipline (DIS) : 96 ... 18
Logic (LOG) : 74 ... 12
Intuition (INT) : 50 ... 0
Strength (STR) : 100 ... 25
Agility (AGL) : 84 ... 27
Influence (INF) : 47 ... 4
Wisdom (WIS) : 43 ... -3
Aura (AUR) : 77 ... 13

As of now, my intended goal is to get DEX, STR, CON and DIS to come out at 100 in real world readings (after progression calculated in, my lingo is probably off here). How important are INF, WIS and INT? Should I be raising them now at the expense of other skills? instead of maxing the 4 i mentioned should i leave them at real-world 95, and add points to INF-WIS-INT.

I know there is no perfect answer, but I can assess from opinions on this, the best way to go.

Its taken a month but I really feel like im getting back into this.

Annnnnnnnnnnd I tried upping my twohander skills to max instead of my OHE and my RT increased on my ambush attacks, and my DS suffered big time. I am going to try it again with a Claidh this time and see if I like it more.

Ambush RT will go up with all the good thw's, and your ds will drop going from 1h+shield to thw's. I dont know what level you are but you should at least lower your DEX, CO and STR some if you're already at 100 for some growth. I put mine for my main stats to cap around 60 I think. I wish I didn't put my inf at 20 because warcrys are a pain in the ass, but you don't have a -inf like I do. Also your -wis will hurt your TD's I think.

This is my info start:

Strength (STR): 70
Constitution (CON): 65
Dexterity (DEX): 85
Agility (AGI): 85
Discipline (DIS): 85
Aura (AUR): 90
Logic (LOG): 70
Intuition (INT): 20
Wisdom (WIS): 70
Influence (INF): 20

AS and DS will not be very meaningful numbers for the overwhelming majority of your warrior's career. Every point of TD, on the other hand, makes a big difference. Hence, if you are concerned primarily with your character's visible combat numbers, you should avoid minimizing stats such as Wisdom, Aura, and whatever the mental TD stat is.

Loyrl, im a level 30, so you think it makes sense to drop my stats back a bit. Yeah my TD is very low and even a snow crone can mess me up if i dont leg 'er first. i didnt realize inf affected warcries. hmm. i havent even tackled what combat maneuvers to train in yet

If it helps at all, here are starting stats for a human warrior geared toward maximum growth (i.e., all 100's at cap...except INF at 81):

>inf start

Strength (STR): 39
Constitution (CON): 60
Dexterity (DEX): 62
Agility (AGI): 62
Discipline (DIS): 73
Aura (AUR): 82
Logic (LOG): 88
Intuition (INT): 70
Wisdom (WIS): 82
Influence (INF): 42

so the idea being that you dont want to start out with your prime reqs too high because they build faster, and you instead want to start off strong w/ other stats that gain slower?

Yep, assuming you have the patience for it and intend to cap the guy. You can also set them to max at 50 or 75, or whatever.

Placing stats for growth will lead you to a relatively unenjoyable rise. Then you'll be bitter at cap.

i agree with both of you and believe I will be better off striking a balance. I have noticed some difference with certain skills elevated; most notably my exp load max when out hunting and then my absorption rate is much different since i enhanced other over-looked stats. not to mention i am GROSSSSSSLY undertrained in the warrior guild and realize DIS is important for that. So far I havent noticed much of a difference lowering my agility (while maintaining a high dex) so i may drop that another 10 and enhance some of my other stats.

this is helpful food for thought. thanks all

not to mention i am GROSSSSSSLY undertrained in the warrior guild and realize DIS is important for that.I'm not sure DIS has ever been linked to the warrior guild beyond possibly Berserk. At very low ranks you are going to be terrible at everything, stats won't really help.

I didn't place my stats for cap, but I did set them high for me at the time. Started playing the warrior around 25 when I got back into playing. I had the 30 days because I hadn't played since GS3. Everything was new to me at the time, and I didn't know/forgot about this site until after my 30 days was up, but I chose around lvl 60, I never thought I would hit that high because I was so used to the leveling of GS3. But everything has worked out fine, and the only stats under 100 at my current level are LO INT WI INF.
