Kind of cheesy X-posting an iReport.

I'd probably march to my death, before anything else, for the sanctity of this construction project completing itself. Just thought it was something nifty, even though the building will most likely not be a ginormous middle finger pointed at Afghanistan.

Probably not, considering the exodus from the oppressive NY tax system.

ETA: Does Manhattan really need yet another building with a gift shop that sells miniature building statues?

because we spend hundreds of billions on two wars, one in a country that's been the black hole of empires, and another we started based on false information, but when it comes to the health care of our citizens, that same money is an absurd amount to spend.
The majority of people are fat, lazy, and ignorant. The lawmakers can't make any effective laws, even when there's a heavy majority of one party that has Congress and the Presidency. We do things like rebuild the parts of New Orleans that are below sea level and the World Trade Center based on emotional decisions instead of what's good for us in the long run.
And because someone just called me and said, "Happy Thursday."

I think it's a huge failure that it took this long.

Hahaha, you took that bait and ran with it.
And because someone just called me and said, "Happy Thursday."
Oh wait... yeah okay, I'd be in a baby punching mood if someone said that to me too.

Seriously. I hadn't been to the area from about 2000 until last year, when I was interviewing for a position in an adjacent building. While I was in the waiting room, I was looking out the window and thought, "What the hell is going on with that giant hole in the ground? . . . Oh." I just couldn't believe that seven years on, it was still basically a hole in the ground where the most noticeable thing was the huge ramp that had been placed there early on.
Also, I'm glad I didn't say what I was thinking out loud.

and the World Trade Center based on emotional decisions instead of what's good for us in the long run.People have emotions, and it would be a big deal to have something rebuilt there for lots and lots of them.

Have a source you can cite that states all of Florida is below sea level? Hopefully, you aren't talking about millions of years ago.. Or in the next 10 years when global warming melts all the polar ice.....
