>> a black shadowsilk spell satchel embossed with a circular warlock's sigil <<
Now if my wizard will only learn to start storing spells in a satchel, I can fry easy, just pull out a spell and cast it at X critter.
So, enlighten me, so I can help my wizard, how does one store "spells" in a satchel?
..., and a small side note, it has to be special, they only are asking 3 million silvers for it! hurry everyone, go bid!
Thanks in advance...

Its funny how when i try to get something altered the GM's are SO picky and wont let me do really simple stuff. Then some idiot makes that satchel.

_Evoz In this case we have to blame the GM and the idiot for allowing that to even be made.

3 mil. is way to much for any satchel. Let alone an ugly ass one like that.

I wouldn't pay 30 THOUSAND for a satchel! What. The. Fuck.

The only words that don't annoy me in that description is 'a' and 'satchel'.
Problem with a lot of those long description items is they are too toothy and most of em are from AOL days so made for the most part by idiots. I can't even see what 'embossed with a circular warlock's sigil' represents.
Its funny but it seems all of that stuff is always an extreme, its either dark evil shadow black or white yellow butterfly flowers, wheres the middle ground? I made a cloak back in those days with the only adjustment being some sticks and leaves stuck in the fabric (for a ranger), course it wasn't pocketted so pretty much worthless now.

Kyalia's a sweet old lady. That said... anyone can get anything past her alterers, pretty much.

If I am not mistaken, shadowsilk is no longer allowed. I think it was brought over from Dragonrealms, but I am not certain of that. It may have been some other game, or something somebody made up. I do not believe there are many items in-game made from shadowsilk.
That said, I agree that the item should not have been made. The whole idea is silly.

Shadowsilk evolved into spidersilk.
That said, they both suck and they're both overused.

Wrong Bob. Shadowsilk is from Everquest. As another aside, what the hell is a spell satchel?!

Heh. Thanks, Soulpie. I knew I remembered it came from somewhere else, I just could not for the life of me remember where in the hell somewhere else was! :D

I know shadowsilk wasn't original, but I thought spidersilk came into play when they realized it sucked?
A spell satchel is an example that GS has no rules.

No, spidersilk has always been spidersilk. Though some things were 2 words. Shadowsilk originated a few years back when lots of people from GS played or heard of things from EQ.

EQ sucks, btw.

I remember someone once paid me 10 times what an ordinary spidersilk backpack is worth for a spider silk backpack.
Some people are truely idiots.

Damn that teacher who told my I was spelling it wrong when it was "truly". Gah.

I'll leave it as is to show even I make mistakes.

Perhaps the GM thought it was a Spell Component Satchel.
Like someone said, Kyalia is simply amazing in her constant good cheer and desire to make all of us self centered players happy. If she was responsible for that item no need to bash, try bringing it to the attention of the powers that be if it truly offends.
The last thing we need is to lose GMs who actually try to talk to and help players with a smile instead of a power trip attitude.
I agree the item in question is silly.

Spidersilk used to be a cheap mass-quantity lightened product without the hassle of finding a lightening merchant. Back when pocketed cloaks started being a generally available item, shaving 4lbs off by getting spidersilk was a large boon for wagglers.
That, for the most part, is no longer true. However the spidersilk harness recently sold by Garthlan was very light and hold a ton. Its like 3 pounds and looks to hold as much as 100lbs. It could double as a light backpack.
