A few years ago, my mother was having serious issues with her feet, and ended up in a wheelchair for a while because she couldn't walk further than 10 feet or so. At the time, her insurance paid for an electric wheelchair, among other things. Her feet are now much better, and she wants to get rid of the thing. She called the local veteran's affairs type place, offering to donate it free to them for a soldier who needs it, and they told her quite rudely that they don't accept donations. She's tried listing it on Ebay and Craigslist several times, with no luck. Anyone know where else she can go to sell/donate/get rid of this thing?

Did someone say wheelchair????? :P
Anyways I can't believe it's so hard to find a recipient up in the liberal NE...
Someone would take that in a heartbeat around here.
*Actually post some specs and I'll see if my ill grandmother in NY can use it?

This is the newer model of the chair. Specs are pretty similar - hers holds 400lbs instead of 500, goes 6 mph instead of 5, etc. They're pretty close to the same though. I have a pdf brochure for the actual model she has, but it's too big to upload here. I'll send it to anyone who's interested.
If anyone wants it though, they'll have to come up here to get it. We can't ship the thing to NY.

She should keep it and declare herself a cyborg.
