Yeah, I’m a communist liberal socialist hippie pacifist...

But grats to our vets. Much respect for the work you do.

Thank you.

I'd take advantage of that if I didn't live in a military town.

I don't.

I'm weird about Veteran's Day, Memorial Day, etc. It's one of those few times when I actually get uncomfortable. People coming up and saying thank you and blah blah blah. Part of me is like "You're welcome." part of me is thinking "You know there is 364 other days in the year where you could not turn a blind eye to your military, but it's cool you feel good now you said thanks to a vet." but 98% of me is "Fuck off I didn't serve so I could get thanks, I served to serve."

"You know there is 364 other days in the year where you could...

Funny, your wife says something similar to me when I give her her annual Valentine's Day spanking.

<3 teh Vets.

I agree with AR about 11/11 as I call it.

I usually just bullshit with my buddies both retired and active today and I used to get my uncles whom were drafted to serve in Vietnam some beer and an ear but they've since passed away.

That's because she's not used to someone with such girly forearms and soft girl hands.

Did anyone catch Letterman? I got a good chuckle out of number 10. I know there is a Bday thread but I'm too lazy to find it since I can't f'n do searches here.

Top 10 ways the Marines are celebrating 11/10.

Humility. Its a powerful trait.

I get it. When someone says, “Hey! Great job!” you say “Thats what I get paid for.”

Another powerful trait is grace.

I know what he is talking about, it can be very uncomfortable to talk to veterans of other wars and their spouses'.

Another powerful trait is grace. I keep this all inside. I just say thank you, smile, and move on.

I got a few happy veterans days...first time I'd had that. I always got/get thank yous the happy veterans day comments were kind of weird.
