That maul is worth a good 40 million, even if you break the cost down by component. I wouldn't sell it for a silver less than that.

I've offered him 65-85 depending on which weapon he chooses as a trade, assuming he likes any of mine.

I think you're right if it was a one hander. As a two hander I value it somewhat higher (and the market bears me out on this, two handed permabless get a nice premium over OHE because of rarity).

Self-sufficiency. Also, pocket characters a pain in the ass if you hunt places like the Rift.
