View Full Version : jailed because of ultrawaggle

Twice now in the last twelve hours one of my characters has been put in jail for casting ewave in town. This wasn't intentional. I was using ultrawaggle to spell-up. Up until last night, ultrawaggle was working fine. In the options box only a few spells - just the spell-up spells - were displayed. I had a few of them excluded and everything would work fine. Yesterday, however, ultrawaggle started casting spells that it normally doesn't cast like eblast and ewave. When I opened the options box I saw every spell my character knows, not just the spell-up spells, ready to be cast with no exclusions. I then proceeded to exclude every spell ultrawaggle didn't previously cast and all the spells I previously had excluded, thinking this would solve the problem. This morning, however, with my first use of ultrawaggle, ewave was cast again. With each cast I was jailed. It turns out the settings aren't being saved when I close the options box. Does anyone know what the problem might be?

Just use download waggle and use that, Tillmen updated it.

Also make sure you get the new spells-list.xml.txt.

Tillmen was playing with it, and added alot of offensive spells to it. You have to go under setup again, and exclude all of them since he added quite a bit of new spells, and offensive ones at that.

Hush and go back to Psinet Mr. I'm never going to use Lich because Psinet does everything I want it to. :)

Or, you can admit I'm right, Lich is sextastic and you will be forgiven for your former, more ignorant, ways.

Ultrawaggle added a bunch of offensive spells for me recently. About killed me when I ran it for the first time. Switched over to ;waggle.

Pretty sure this only affects people who upgraded to Lich v4 and didn't follow directions.

UltraWaggle doesn't add anything. It reads info from the spell-list file which is generated by Lich. Stop blaming UltraWaggle :(

I can blame you for the GUI not working in Linux though. Not that I care much anymore since ;waggle allows me to change settings without using the GUI.

No! I can blame you for not installing libglade.

I spell-up manually by entering the entire command so as to add to the realism of the game.

Thank you everyone for your help. Just a few minutes ago I downloaded version 4 and waggle. Everything is A-OK now. Thanks!

he should add all mass offensive spells, major e-wave, meteor swarm, implosion.. just to see how many people dont check other peoples scripts before they use them ;p

They are added. It's just by luck that the script casts e-wave before meteor swarm. The ultrawaggle that's in the registry now (and the last couple days) excludes offensive spells. The regular spellup script has the same issue, except no one has the key to update it. I'm a little confused at how this problem surprised people. I've been complaining about it for months.

I just use breakgs.cmd that Bob wrote. Best spellup/hunting script out there.
