Trollslayer weapon from EG09 auction.

+30 base, cycles to +50 on trolls for two swings then starts again at +30.

Double flares, two scripts for locating scrolls, show, loresong.

Works on Grimswarm, great weapon for a Sunfister.

5 lb, 94/235, short sword base, not blessable.

Assuming the flares are the same as the espadon...



You swing a jade-pommeled vaalorn espadon at a mongrel troll!

AS: +184 vs DS: +96 with AvD: +27 + d100 roll: +9 = +124

... and hit for 8 points of damage!

Deft slash across chest draws blood!

The mongrel troll takes a deep breath.

With a burst of fiery orange flame, your espadon flares at the mongrel troll!

... 30 points of damage!

Nasty burns to back. Won't be sleeping on that for awhile.

The mongrel troll is stunned!

The mongrel troll screeches loudly as the fire scorches her skin!

... 50 points of damage!

Left arm burnt away at elbow. Ointment won't help.

The troll's wooden shield falls to the ground.

Roundtime: 5 sec.

I've seen up to 75 on one of the double flares. Although, that certainly isn't the norm. Typically at least one is around 50.

Technically those double flares aren't from the weapon itself. Anything fire hits trolls twice. Like Immolate hits trolls up to 10 times, 908 flares hit twice, etc.

Ah, didn't know that. The espadon is the first fire flaring weapon I've used. Thanks!

might want to check on that actually. Methais is right. Fire double flares on trolls already. If it is, in fact, a "Trollslayer" sword, shouldn't the flares be more effective? triple flares? Otherwise it's just a 6x sword with fire flares that cycles through enchants with trolls.

wouldn't hurt to ask a GM.

I am moving this to the proper (high-end) folder.

Note that the info I was given about Trollslayers having two strikes at 10x is different for the gladius which seems to do one at 10x and 1 at 11x.

I've posted on the play.net forums about that, if it is an error I want it fixed right away.
