sincerely hope the falcons win by more than 30. i really want to see if cerrato will stand by his promise not to get rid of zorn this season.

and while we're at it, I hope Campbell throws 4 picks and is taken out after the first half.

Bring in Colt Brennan!!

Yup, you read it. Gotta have a crazy upset every now and then.

Revalos
11-06-2009, 06:11 PM
That isn't a crazy upset, that is a ludicrous upset. If the Saints manage to find a way to lose that game, I will wear a paper bag to work on my head on Monday the whole damn day, even if I have to give a briefing. Of course...it is my Aints we're talking about...any they cannot have a fucking perfect season...it simply cannot happen, they will get psych psych super-psyched out at some point...I just hope to all the gods that it isn't Tampa or the Deadskins.

If Atlanta has a 15 point or greater lead by the half and goes on to win by that margin or greater, Zorn loses his job on Monday, but he quits...he isn't fired, thus saving the head office.

NocturnalRob
11-06-2009, 06:18 PM
Zorn's too much of a pussy to quit. They're going to have to scrape him out of there, like gum off a shoe.

If you think the Bucs are going to win you should place a bet on them outright on the money line. I'm seeing it as over +400 at most places. That's a nice paycheck.

NocturnalRob
11-07-2009, 10:38 AM
if you think the Bucs are going to win, you should probably put money on the Skins too, because they have a better chance of winning than the Bucs.

The Bucs ain't that bad of a team honestly. They're going to win one we just don't know when.

Looking at the odds and numbers something is screwy for both the bucs and the saints this weekend. I'm working so I can't really investigate it much further until after.

If they don't win outright I could see them covering +9.5 thus far. But even that is a tease number. I dunno what the books are doing on this one yet.

*** I've been against the bucs all year win wise and have been through many of season like this before obviously. They can and will surprise you... I just don't know if it's this weekend or not.

NocturnalRob
11-07-2009, 10:44 AM
wait, the saints are only giving 9.5 right now? against the bucs?

nevermind, i'm retarded. misread your post.

that being said, i'll bet tampa covers 9.5 against green bay and Aaron Rodgers, the tackling dummy.

Saints are -13.5 also a fishy number. Right below a key indicator obviously at 14. The book would be trying to draw a saints bet to cover by 14 easily (they feed off of all the hype dealing with public betters) when they'll make their cash on it under -13.5.

Would tend to make me want to take the +13.5 but I think it's a suck in bet. I'd pass on that game or play a total.

*and if I had the money until further review I would most likely take the points with tampa thus far.

NocturnalRob
11-07-2009, 11:09 AM
i would take that saints bet in a parlay in a fucking heartbeat (if i were gambling this weekend, which I am not). saints + atlanta + patriots + indianapolis. there you go. lock of the week. $100 wins you $1250.

Or if you're a huge pussy take the 7-point teaser. Same bet. $100 wins you $200.

Also, I'm seeing the saints at -13.

NocturnalRob
11-07-2009, 11:17 AM
Actually, damn. With these lines there are a lot of good bets out there. Hell, take a 10-point teaser and there's basically no risk at all.

Pats + Saints + Skins. Bet $100 to win $85. Pats just have to win. Saints have to win by more than 3. Skins can lose by up to 18 points. I mean...that seems pretty money to me. Aside from the fucking Skins. Goddamned harbingers of doom is what they are.

Sean of the Thread

Too many variables in the NFL for me to play more than a 2 teamer.

I've came close to cashing huge on a 12 teamer before in NCAA however. Fucking Hawaii... of course the last game of the night at like 1 in the morning EST too. Cocksuckers. I was already counting my $38,000 or so before they had a melt down. Undisciplined fucks.

Sean of the Thread

I'm going to research the ATS numbers with the bucs after work. They couldn't have missed the mark by much this year. Might be a good time to take the points.

NocturnalRob
11-07-2009, 11:30 AM
yeah, i mean honestly...if you rock out a 12-team parlay every sunday, $20 wins you around $40,000? I mean, the chances of you hitting that are quit slim, but still. And it makes it that much more fun. I mean, hell, be a toolbox about it and bet $1. That's still over $2,000. That's a bar tab and a half right there.

Back when I was playing for a living I'd always throw in the small $20 12 teamers just for entertainment and the thrill to keep my mind off shit if things were going bad for the day.

That one I almost hit. 1 fucking game to go.

There's nothing worse than being down on a day and you start chasing. The parlays would keep me from doing that. It's also like buying a scratch off ticket.

Some weeks it's easy as hell to hit say a 6 teamer. Gotta wait for what I call POGs. Pile on games. Where there is total mismatches every year when they try to stack the BCS scoreboard by stomping on their scheduled POG.

No, I was talking about the Saints losing to Tampa (who I drunkenly thought they were playing this week, yet another reason I don't do these picks). I will stand by my paper bag wearing if they lose to Tampa either of the two (bwhahahahaaaa!) times they get to play them before advancing to the playoffs and then the Superbowl.
