So I just read this article (link below) about another serial killer. I really have no background in social sciences, psychology, or the such. Has there been a shift from the typical serial killer (read single white male) to a more diversified form? Or are the "ethnic" killers just getting more large scale media attention, like the beltway snipers. Thoughts?

Here's the link. It's about some guy who has his yard with women.

I think it's missing the guy who used to kill babies and then send pictures and remains to the parents.

I can't imagine what it takes to make a person do stuff like this.

I care, you noticed I started a thread about it. It's interesting.

I wrote a paper about this. Research the cultural correlation. Please also see subjects: 1.) Rising numbers of highly paid black women in the professional work force 2005. 2.) Increasing number of white male serial killers in the 1960's - 1970's. 3.) Female Sexual and Societal Revolution 1970.

Ahem. :D

I care, you noticed I started a thread about it. It's interesting. The number of serial killers is so small that it's hard to find statistically significant ethnographic trends. I wouldn't be surprised if the justification for the original "white male" profile was that the overwhelming majority of the country at the time was white.
