Copy of IM conversation I had

xxxxx: On the Wizard guilds "fellowship" dealy
Myitkyina softly says, "Really, it's a bunch of dorky guys... looking for more women so they can pretend they're cool."
(ME): doesn't she know that guys play GS in the first place to meet hot chicks?
xxxxx: that's why I do it
(ME): chuckle

Yeah... Hot chicks are the only reason I play GS too.
No, really...

You get points for being hot. Bonus points in my book for not being normal.

I knew a guy once flew out to Simucon because he just had to try to get Ylena into bed. He told me he could sense she'd put out for him.

OMG Are we talking about the SAME Ylena?

We're talking the same Ylena. I asked the guy a couple of times after if he'd scored and what he thought of her in person, he wouldn't say.

That makes you hotter in my book. And so does the fact that you're local. And the fact that you're a stripper.... sorry... "entertainer"

The jury still out on how hot the big black dildo is.

Wherever you go, Patrick Roy will follow...

Except the guy's retired.

Too bad. They'll have arguments fifty years from now whether Roy or Hasek was the best goalie of the expansion era.

Hasek was by far the best goalie, ever.

If he wasn't stuck on the Sabres for the vast majority of his career, he would of won more championships than Brodeur and Roy combined.

I say this as a Sabres fan, and a guy who's served Dom coffee before.

Patrick Roy was the best as his equipement wasn't 4 feet large pads.

Chica is among the 2-3 girls that are cute and somewhat normal that play gs

Hasek will now be remembered as a WASH-OUT.

I live in Michigan, and am a Red Wings fan.

It was great and all that he helped to win the Stanley Cup two years ago with terrific goal-tending.

But this year, he F-ed over the Red Wings with his latest "strange stunt" and is walking alway with $millions while the Red Wings didn't get him to be productive at all as a Goalie this year.

He should return some 80% of his Salary for this year.

Otherwise, he'll be remembered as a WASH-OUT.

.

He did have a hell of a career. But people will remember most how he went out.

Patrick Roy will be remembered as one of the greatest goalies, as he went out strong.

Hasek *had* that when he first retired. Now he lost that, and will instead be remembered as a WASH for his last year.

Yeah, as if we give a frig about the Wings.

Roy had the greatest career of the generation, but Hasek had the greatest 6 years of any goalie ever. Not Dryden, not Plante, not Sawchuk, not Thompson, Benedict, no one.

And the Sabres fans at the time never appreciated how he took a team that was for shit (they had about 2 good players else) and made them contenders.

Two? Who the hell are you talking about?

Michael Peca? Donald Audette? Please.

And we appreciated Dom - we were just frustrated by the fact that he couldn't score goals as well. IE, when you have Dominik Hasek in net, you shouldn't be losing games because you can't score goals. We'd lose 1-0 games ALL the frickin' time.

The problem is finding girls in Gemstone that aren't old enough to be my mother. Old enough and then some in Weedmage/Skirmisher's cases.

ACTUALLY, the problem is trying to find guys that aren't young enough for me to be babysat by me.

Wait...isn't that what most relationships with guys are anyway?

They just did a survey and the largest group of on line players of games are 40+ women and second is 20 something men.

Peca and Satan, of course. It's kinda numb not to call a Selke winner and a guy averaging 30 goals a year the last 7 seasons "stars."

I believe it.

Those women can kick major booty and they don't get sneered at because they can kick YOUR ass too.

that's it...I'm out of GS...I've never wanted to be a member of the largest group of anything in my life and I'm not going to start now.

I wonder what new bad habits I can pick up at 46?

Prostitution. It pays better then playing Gemstone.

Heh. I will hazard a guess that the survey in question is including all sorts of games, not just RPGs. It would be interesting to see a survey like this conducted on RPGs alone.

It was. The Survey was on overall On-line Gaming. I don't think it focused or did any follow-up surveys on sections of Online gaming like MMORPH vs those that are RTS like Warcraft3, Command&Conquer Generals.

I'd think it's a given that 20s males still dominate the later type.
