I've got a question for whomever might be able to answer it.

When it comes to crit or damage padding, ie) heavy padding done by premium points on full plate, what would be the better choice?

If you have some sort of reasoning behind your answer, I'd be more than interested in hearing what you have to say.

I'm currently playing a warrior, non-giant, that needs Voln Symbol of Restoration to restore hps, on serious hunts all the time. So I am leaning towards getting some heavy Damage Padding for my full plate. However, I'd like to hear the advantages of getting crit padding on full plate. My reasoning behind getting damage padding is that it is already full plate and mostly only are minor wounds ever absorbed by the armor, unless it is a flare or stone hand by the Illoke.

Also, how much would level 10 (heavy) damage padding remove hit damage on say a 10 points hit point hit? or 15, or 20?

If you have any useful information for me, I'd be very appreciative to hear it. Thanks.

For resale, Crit padding is better. If you never plan to spell tank, Damage padding may be better. For anyone other than a warrior, even on plate, I would say crit padding is better. Consider this: As a warrior who is tagged all the time, I would suggest getting a 7x set of plate, and have premium point reactive flares added to the armor. Much cheaper than padding, and you will often stun/disable the things attacking you. If you go Sunfist, you could then take your set of high enchant flaring armor, and use sigils to put BOTH damage and Crit padding on it.

This was my assumption as well, which doesn't seem to be holding true.

Seeing sets of comperable damage padded plate going for more? Also, it is right before EG! What do you expect??

It's difficult to tell, as high end plate seems to have become a niche market.

True true. But... if you buy it now, you can get it lightened at EG! :) And believe me, you want it lightened.

Wait until after the auction, but still during the festival. That is the good time for people to buy EG projects.

Great answer. Sums up the angles real well. Nothing to add beyond that.
