As many of you know, I am recently back in the lands. I am currently looking to transition my lvl 17 ranger into the ranged combat (still have a number of skill changes available).

I've been reading up on the fletching skill and it all seems relatively straightforward - the only issue I am comming up with is finding the wood. Are there certain forage syntaxes that we need to use to find branches or limbs? I.e., if I wanted to find a branch of Faewood, would I use "forage for faewood branch"? Also, where in the bloody blue blazes are you supposed to look for the wood? I know with herbs there are certain areas dedicated to each herb, but I can't find a damned thing on where to find wood that can be used in fletching...

Any advice/help/assistance would be much appreciated. Thanks everyone -

Do you have fletching skill already? Go to the kobold mines to get logs to improve your skill.

There are a few places where you can get an unlimited number of sticks and then cut them into shafts simply for ranks or complete them into arrows.

As far as forage syntax, it's just forage stick, so try forage faewood.

Specific magic woods are only sold in the archery shops, most in the backrooms. Faewood, for example, is in the backroom. Which is stocked in which shop also varies, so best to check before you truck over somewhere. I have a list at http://www.nilandia.com/merchants.htm organized by town, which might help.

Thanks Gretchen - seems like a shame that these aren't foreagable somewhere, but I suppose the regular branches and sticks will be good enough to start with. Figure I might as well master before doing anything too much, but had to ask the questions while figuring out my plan...
