Anyone else having problems running this? I uninstalled everything and reinstalled the launcher then followed the instructions. I get "Install was successful." in the lich_debug file but when i try to run the game it just hangs. nothing starts.. not from SGE or the website. Any ideas?

I do believe last night he was working on a fix. I take it you're running windows. There was an issue with Ruby not being compiled on windows yet and thats what has delayed this update. Supposedly he's managed to successfully compile it but apparently there is this particular issue. I am assuming and he would answer the question better but I'm pretty sure this is the case.

Version 4.0.1 is out for testing only. I'm going to need some more information to figure out the problem. What does "uninstalled everything" include? What OS are you running (Vista, I assume?). If on Vista, did you install the launcher as Admin? Which set of instructions did you follow? Did you run Lich as admin when trying to install it? Are you using PsiNet? Did you rename lich-4.0.1.rb to lich.rb? Did you try the Lich game entry? What does lich_debug.txt say on a failed login attempt?

I uninstalled the old lich in my registry. Im running Win XP SP3. I followed the instructions from the forum for 3.95. I didnt run anything as Admin, and I didnt rename lich-4.0.1 to lich.rb. I didnt run the lich game entry...

Ok forget all that.. I renamed lich-4.0.1 to lich.rb and it loaded up instantly. I never got that instruction I just noticed you linked the new file on lichnet last night and I DL'd it. Thanks for the help.

I do get a lot of msgs at startup and I wondered if that was normal? See below.

No, that's not normal. Are you using Stormfront or Wizard?

It stopped after the initial load. Im using stormfront. Now it just displays this whenever I hit enter with nothing typed in the bar (see below).
