WTF?

Where is Falcon?

It started drifting from USAF base?

Why did the guy whack it with a shovel?

WHY WAS IT IN THE MIDDLE OF NOWHERE??????

The parents of the boy had been on Wife Swap. This family is already rather disfunctional.

I'm betting that it was either a sibling joke, or the kid let it go and is hiding because he knows he's going to get his ass beat.

This story is just ridiculous at this point.

Seriously, if you are going to post something to talk about, you may consider a link or perhaps explaining wtf you mean. It all looks like gibberish.

Publicity Stunt:

During a live interview with CNN Thursday night, Falcon said he had heard his family calling his name but didn't come out of the attic hiding place because his father "had said that we did this for a show."

Man, I wouldn't be surprised if they receive death threats from some of the people who mobilized to help out.

If they were to prove it was a hoax they would also receive a bill for like 25 grand from the army. A bill for like 50-100 grand from their local police and god only knows what the airport that shut down behind this could claim against them.

US balloon boy case 'was a hoax'

http://newsimg.bbc.co.uk/media/images/46558000/jpg/_46558160_balloon_ap226.jpg Police feared for the boy's life believing him to be in the balloon

A US sheriff has said the case of six-year-old Falcon Heene who was believed to be adrift in a hot air balloon, prompting a major alert, was a hoax.
Sheriff Jim Alderden said the parents of the boy were actors and had put on a "good show for us, and we bought it".
Falcon's disappearance became a media drama, but he was later found at home.
Sheriff Alderden said as yet there had been no arrests but possible charges included conspiracy and contributing to the delinquency of a minor.
Some of the most serious charges each carry a maximum sentence of six years in prison and a $500,000 (£305,00) fine.
Sheriff Alderden said at first the parents' acting abilities had made them appear credible to the police.
But it had become clear when the son referred to his hiding in the attic as part of "a show" during a television interview that they were not telling the the truth.
He said the house of Richard and Mayumi Heene has been searched for evidence that the family was hoping to use the incident to obtain a lucrative contract for a television reality.
The family has made previous appearances on a US reality show, Wife Swap.

The best part is now the 15 minutes gets streched even further! Now there'll be the court case which I'm sure will be live on TV, the crying on Oprah about how society made them do it, Dr. Phil talking about how Falcon was abused by this, all the comics making fun of it....

eventually landing them a reality TV show. Damn it.
