So I had an old DR account that I reactivated. I can confirm that the account is active, and that the DR server is working, since i can log in through the website via the eScape client (terrible client, btw)
However, when I use the SGE to launch either Wizard or Stormfront for DR, I get connected, and then immediatley disconnected.
Both Wizard and SF still work for GS4, but I can't get them to work with DR. I suspect it is a Lich problem, but I am not sure. I have Tillmen's v3.95 of Lich installed, which was installed via the lich.rb --install method, and I never had the earlier versions of the lich installed, ever. No install to registry or anything like that.
Any suggestions?
Okay, I did a little testing, and did lich.rb --uninstall and now can log into DR just fine, but then I quit DR, did a lich.rb --install, and now I get the 'Connection is lost: message instantly when I log into DR. I do the lich.rb --uninstall and then I can log back in just fine.
I'd love to continue using the Lich for GS4, and if possible, use it for DR as well. Is this possible, and if so, how?

I imagine it is a port issue...but I am just guessing.

Lol @ dragonrealms.
helpful indeed...
Anyways, yes, it is most likely a port issue, but not sure what the solution is (other than running lich.rb --uninstall everytime I want to use DR).

DR's beating GS lately.
Better solution.
Buy Genie3. Use it for DR. If you're not scripting most of the time in DR you're not doing it right.

I've been wondering if Lich works with dragonrealms, but I'm not about to pay for an account to test it. I'm away from my computer (and the Lich code) right now, but you might try forcing it.
lich.rb. --uninstall
lich.rb --dragonrealms --stormfront
Log in
With this method, Lich changes your hosts file so when a program asks for the stormfront Dragonrealms server, it gets Lich instead... assuming the server info Lich has is correct. Even if this works, I expect you will have more problems when you get into the game. I have no idea how different the Dragonrealms XML stream is from Gemstone.

I think you can get a 30 day free trial. You know... just to make it work.

Shaelun's latest version of Lich works perfectly with DR. Tillmen's doesn't. My guess is that the server information is incorrect, as the XML streams are identical.

Well, that explains it, then.

Well, it seems to work. However, still a PITA if I want to switch back and forth. And given that I play GS more than DR, I'll stick with Lich with GS, where it is very useful.
Thanks for the help
