Came across this, had to figure out what it was...

Voraviel's double flare greater elemental flares

5x mace

a heavily enruned russet mace, which is in your right hand.
Chiseled deeply with wire-thin runes that flow like fissures, the mace bears the sharply angled edges of an obelisk. Crafted of a matte russet metal, its circumference is chased throughout with darker streaks of black and verdant green. Razored spokes jut out from its base, shrouding it in a crown of deep black crystal that serves as a distinct border to its impressive girth. You also notice a small enchanter's glyph.

You swing a heavily enruned russet mace at Olerin!
AS: +87 vs DS: +45 with AvD: +31 + d100 roll: +75 = +148
... and hit for 39 points of damage!
Skull cracks in several places.
He is stunned!

** A heavily enruned russet mace rumbles violently as it explodes with frenetic energy! **
... 35 points of damage!
Hard blow to chest breaking ribs!
Hard to breathe!
... 15 points of damage!
Nice blow to neck!

>raise mace
You raise your enruned russet mace into the air and a deep, thrumming sound echoes forth from within it, shaking the very core of your body as the air distorts and blurs around you in a nauseating fashion. Everything becomes cloaked in the blurry waves as you reverberate with the thrumming tone, until it slowly fades away, leaving nothing but a strange feeling in your eyes.
Roundtime: 10 secs.

Empowers it apparently...

raise mace
The magic infused within you still lingers, and the enruned russet mace resists your attempts to raise it.

You put a heavily enruned russet mace in your leather satchel.
>get mace
As you draw your enruned russet mace, invisible currents of energy rumble about its surface, cloaking it in a hazy blur.

Assuming its impact flares.

Make an offer.

They were cool, but I believe they actually did less flare damage than normal weapons, sadly.

I think it also changes your features as well.

You have to raise it before each time you want it to flare?

Raising the mace changes your eye colour. Those things were super popular about 5 years ago, they sold for a lot of coin.

Pffft, I figured out what it was!

The flares were pretty unimpressive. Frequently you would get a pair of rank 1-3 flares. The only good use was for creatures with elemental vulnerabilities. I took an ice flaring one to lava golems and went to town on those suckers. They have another elementally flavored script or two.

That said, I still kinda want it to play around with on my OHB paladin. I'm in the lab for the next 8 hours or so, but if you still have it when I get home let's work something for it.

Hm. Don't the greater elemental flaring weapons attune, with the flares getting progressively stronger? Or am I thinking of something else?

I didn't see any bonding when I owned the greater steam waraxe.

That was wishful thinking on the attuning part, and probably what got a lot of people paying larger sums of coin for them than anything.

Just let me know when you want it Adam, we're always able to work out things.
