Has it ever been determined precisely how many charges are conferred by an item with "a lot of charges", "an incredible amount of charges", "more than the average giantman could count" charges, etc.?

Here's the order....

0. out of charges
1. a few
2. several charges
3. fair amount
4. quite a few
5. a lot
6. more than your average giantman can count/more than your average dwarf can count (depending on Bards race)
7. a huge number
8. almost innumerable

I think Droit figured out 2 of the amounts at CCF. I want to say A LOT is 40 charges.

What about "It should have an incredible amount of uses left"?

I think thats for temp stuff like padding. Also might be seen on giftbox enhancives. Never seen anything incredible thats been dropped (enhancive). I guess you can assume its above almost innumerable.

That messaging was indeed from a padded set of armor. Someone asked me exactly how many hits it could take before the padding wore off, and I didn't know what to tell him. Couldn't find anything exact on KP or here, so... /shrug

Thanks for the info!

I believe auction quality enhancives have a nearly infinite amount of charges.

Well, this one's boxfound. Probably not up to "auction quality" standards ;)
