Dead pixels are one of my biggest pet peeves. As soon as I notice them, I have an impossible time not noticing them. It's like the pop-corn kernel stuck in your teeth, you just keep tonguing it (yes I'm tonguing my monitor, but only when tisket is posting).

So I just got a new monitor and sure enough, fucking dead pixel, pretty close to center. I had heard you could coax dead pixels back to life by rubbing circles around the pixel... and it worked! Fucker popped back on! Anyway no other purchase am I so afraid of getting lemoned, newegg claims you need 8 dead in order to ship it back. EIGHT! This one I ordered from an ebay store, I called them and the guy on the phone said I could send it back w/ one dead, but all their legal notices on purchases were "sale is final".

Anyway for some reason I thought I'd share this innane story.

Dead pixels are dead. Only stuck pixels can be massaged to life.

But congrats! I hate dead/stuck pixels. Drive me absolutely insane. Returned my BlackBerry last year because it had like a dozen.

I love Newegg to death but I would never buy an LCD from them.

I love that you sexually stroked your monitor until it worked.

I love that i'm not the only one who got that from his story.

Does that mean he's used to rubbing flat chests?

That's pretty much my solution to everything.

I love that i'm not the only one who got that from his story.
Then it was all worth it.

No, but a certain button comes to mind.
