General Questions About Forums

So I recently discovered this forum and find it far superior to the official gs forums. My basic question is, is it worthwhile to bother reading the official boards still or do they basically overlap, with additional content and less rules here? I mean, I think every post I have ever written on play.net has been removed and I recieved some message for Emaradan about how it violates policy. lol Anyways, is it worthwhile to continue to read the play.net forums if I am checking in here often or can I simply ignore them and not miss a lot?

Well the posts here are going to give you most of the important info that you could find on the officials and even more of the not so important stuff.

Here you can talk your shit and bark till your blue in the face and not have to worry about someone pulling your post. What you will see on the other hand; you will be informed and flamed if its sucks, someones disagrees with you, or if you are wrong! That later usually being to root of all the rest. Even if your right, remember you might be wrong!

There is a wonderful search option here, and most things about any thing has been uncovered and beat to death already... Even if it sucked!

These forums don't take prisoners, but if you've got some thick skin, and an eye for those with thin skin, you'll quickly fit in. Just make fun of an idiot (they're abundant), and you'll make quick friends. It's no nonsense, you get real answers to questions if the answers exist, and you'll get made fun of for stupid questions (yes, there is such a thing as a stupid question here). Be sure to do a bit of a search first, and prepare for the initial hazing. Realize that rep means absolutely nothing, and getting girls to post their boobs is top priority. You'll find entertainment and you'll see people post things that'll make you question humanity.

It's all worth the price of admission.

The people who still play GS generally manage to get most of the major announcements posted here as well. Oh, and beware the Politics folder, tread at your own warning.
