Either my search skills suck or there isn't a thread about this movie yet (which I can't believe).
Saw it Friday night. Holy shit I'm going to see it again sometime this week it's awesome in every single way.
Can't really talk too much about it without handing out spoilers so I'll just say it's fucking awesome go see it!

Man I begged people to go see this movie over the weekend. Guess I'll have to suck it up and be the solo guy at the theatre, because this movie looks too good to wait til next weekend.

Seriously I haven't laughed this hard at a movie since The Hangover and there were plenty of good old fashioned make you jump zombie bits as well.
Toward the end there was something said about Woody's character that will make most guys say "Fucking right I'd be the same way". Great freaking movie.

I was worried that most of the good bits were shown in the trailers. Glad to hear this isn't the case. I'm looking forward to this.

For whatever reason the main chick reminds me of a real young Sally Fields. And I would totally do her.

She's the same girl from Superbad, right?
Yeah, I'd do her in an instant. Same problem as landy, though I refuse to be the solo guy.

My gf won't go, so I'm soloing it up. Seriously, who cares. You don't talk in the place anyway. I might go this afternoon when I get home.

Same boat here as well. I'm the only zombie lover amongst my group of friends except one and she was ill all weekend, dammit! Sooo selfish of her to go and get sick when I want to go see a movie. My hubby is too...squeamish for zombie movies. HA!
I really dislike comedy horror movies. Especially when they're including zombies.
I know I'm going to be dragged to this. Sigh. :(

I saw it over the weekend, it was definitely worth going to the early afternoon show with the rest of the Sorcerer Guild Masters. Remember one does not need emotional support groups to go see zombie movies, zombies are self-starters and thus it is ok to leave any baggage at home.
They really need to hire someone who understands firearms to consult for this type of movie, but besides getting slightly annoyed over little things it was worth it.
Two brains up.

Not a new spell, but a tactic. Combine the motivation of zombies with the door to door marketing abilities of the church of latter day saints. The only foreseeable issue keeping this plan from taking over the world is trying to find out who is going to supply the brains for the operation..

Finally stole an afternoon off to go see this. Thumbs up from me and the hubby!
I was thinking the comedy aspect would ruin it, but it was a terrific movie. Teach me to be snobby about my zombies!!

This is among my favorite zombie movies. Which I suppose isn't a deep list considering how many I've seen. Most funny zombie movies are completely unintentionally bad. I want this one to have a sequel.

Great movie. Saw it last night and when I got out I thought about going in to see the next showing. I'll be picking it up once it goes on DVD/BluRay sales. (And I almost never buy movies)

My favorite was the shotgun that could shoot 10-15~ times before reloading.

You know the saying black don't crack?
I just thought of this one when I saw your post:

LOL. It's no Shaun of the Dead, but it had it's funny moments. I liked the rules, and the mission for twinkies as well.

I didn't think it was either. I really like Hot Fuzz though.
Saw this last night--Just as I expected it. Comedy and horror should never entwine.

At no point did I ever think of Zombieland as a horror film, though. I'd say it was a Zombie Comedy. Now most zombie films try to be horror and fail but I think it was readily apparent that they weren't even trying to horrify you in this film. Everything, starting from the intro told me that they were gunning for comedy; they even skipped the cliche news stories over the tv that fade into screen snow.

yeah, I didnt think it was a horror movie at all. it was funny as hell.

I find most horror movies are comedies with blood. Truly spooky movies are hard to come by. I can't wait to see Zombieland. I need a good laugh.

I still rank Event Horizon as one of the few 'horror' movies that actually creeped me out. I think Alien / Aliens did at one point, but I've seen them so many times now...

Event Horizon is awesome, my favorite horror movie. I watched Quarantine last night, what an awful movie. It tried to be all blare witch like w/ the camera, was exceptionally slow to start, and I couldn't help but laugh throughout it at how bad it was.
There is no way you can actually try to group zombieland into the horror genre, it's a comedy that's using a zombie apocolypse as a backdrop, that's all.

Interesting enough for completely unrelated reasons I was talking about how Event Horizon was one of the few horror movies I actually liked.

I watched that in highschool, alone, at like 2 AM with a big screen and a bitching surround sound(required duh). It scared the ever living shit out of me.
