Shards/slivers are hurlable for (I think) 3 throws, then they disappear. Box can be turned multiple times in advance to avoid the massive turning RT while you're hunting. As far as I know you can turn it as many times as you want. Shards/slivers are I think daggers/darts respectively.

Don't forget to check my thread in flat priced sales for 50k slabs of gornar, rhimar, drakar, and zorchar.

The feather-adorned box appears relatively unremarkable except for a small door recessed into the bottom of the box, and a tiny opening at the top. A small area on top of the box looks as though it's designed to be depressed. There appears to be a small ora slab inside.

Your fingers find a small recessed key in the feather-adorned box, and with a quick turn, you can hear the soft metallic click of it winding.

Yes, it takes slabs. Silver slabs from boxes opened with call lightning work, and it currently has a "small ora slab" in it. Not sure if it will take a whole heavy forging slab or not.

Are there any properties from the slivers or shards that come out? Or are the properties completely dependent on the slab of metal?

They are completely dependent on the metal put in. So gornar will make +5 earth flaring shards. The shards/slivers can be blessed individually. And they last 3 to 5 uses. Meant to be thrown, but can be used to swing. The shard/sliver will gain some scripts. FLIP and another for sure.

I had one of these. Put a slab in it and it generates the slivers. Not really feasable to use while hunting, but if you wind it up and make a ton of slivers before hunting, seems to work better. You can use leftover slabs from forging and silver slabs from blowing up boxes.I've seen some glowbark and witchwood slivers with the same properties as produced here, but not sure how you would do that. Each slab produces a ton of weapons.

BTW, Gornar is 1x

You can make either slivers or shards with them, whichever you prefer. One is dagger based and the other is dart based.
